Welcome to Jaztime. Jaztime.com is an online store that buys, sells, trades authentic luxury watches. We make these videos so our customers can easily choose the best watch for themselves in the comfort of their own home. If you would like to know the price, simply click on the link in the description below. If you enjoy our videos, we'd greatly appreciate it if you would buy a watch from jaztime.com and not watch our video and buy it from someone else, which is why I'm making these videos on a Sunday afternoon. Today, I'm going to be reviewing the Rolex Yacht-Master 40 Platinum and Steel, reference 16622. I'm gonna talk to you guys about the bezel, the dial, the case, the movement, the bracelet, try it on, and give you my thoughts. Let's dive right in. It's using a 40 millimeter case that's from my thumb to my index finger and it's an oyster case as opposed to a super case, which is on many other watches. The only other sports watch that shares this oyster case is the amazing Daytona to the left. All other ones use a super case. Now this case is 40 millimeter. Now Rolex calls it oystersteel and platinum, which part is platinum and that would be the bezel. But not all of the bezel, just the insert where my pinky is going around. Not this ridged part right here, that part is actually still steel. Now this watch is 40 millimeters and Rolex calls it Rolesium, which is a combination of oystersteel and platinum. I like to just call it stainless steel just for all purposes, it looks stainless steel, except for maybe just the bezel. Now that we're talking about the bezel, the bezel itself is 950, nine, five, zero, platinum bidirectional rotatable 60-minute graduated with raised numbers. Now if you look at those numbers, this whole thing is made of platinum, which is another reason why it's so expensive. Okay, now this dial color is also platinum. They don't make this dial color anymore. They make it rhodium or blue, but this one, this watch being from roughly 2008 had this rhodium color or sorry, this platinum color to it. Now has a water-resistance of a 100 meters, scratch resistant crystal, blah, blah, blah. And it has a movement that is the older movement or at least it's the movement that was correct to this watch, which is a 3135 and it's been around for like 30 years. It's very accurate, has a precision of plus, minus seven seconds a day and has a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. What is all that mean? Nothing, it just means that this movement is really good. It's not gonna have you any problems. In fact, it's a Rolex movement, so you don't have to worry. And nobody is ever gonna look inside your movement anyways. Now let's talk about the dial. The dial, what I like about it, it has these maxi dial, which means the hour markers are really fat. Now that's what it looks like when it's luminesced, so you can really easily see this watch at night. And I like that it has this red second hand, I think it adds a nice touch to it and it has a date function, which have a 2.5 time magnification on the right. And in fact, you can also check elapsed time by putting the triangle at the minute hand and when the minute hand goes down to psych, for example here, it would be 15 minutes elapsed. That's another good thing about this watch. I like that it's rotatable bezel in a precious metal, which not a lot of steel sports watch combined. I like that. Now the bracelet is an oyster, flat three-piece link in oystersteel. Basically, it's a stainless steel bracelet and has a folding, traditional lock. Like this, and you fold over that second piece. Okay, now they changed this. The newer version of this watch is reference 116622, which you, by the way, can also buy at jaztime.com, and that watch instead has an updated bracelet. And the bracelet looks more like this Daytona, I'm gonna show you over here. You see the difference? That's the bracelet on the left of the newer version and this is the older version. Now of course, you can buy the older version that I have here in my hand for a bit cheaper, so that's another benefit to it. Now it's more or less the same. I mean just the buckle is a little different, the links and everything else are all the same. Okay, anyways, I told you I would try it on, give you my thoughts. My thoughts upon this watch is I really like that it's simplicity. I like that it looks like, it doesn't look very flashy. It just looks like a steel watch but at the same time it still is a beautiful, amazing Rolex and I like that it has platinum in it and I really like this half polish bracelet. So anyways I am a fan of it. I think it's an overlooked sports watch so if you like this watch go to jaztime.com and buy it. That's the reason why we're actually making this video.
