Warranty Terms & Conditions



 

When purchasing a luxury watch online, many of our customers have question about the warranty. After all, when making such a substantial investment, you want to be sure that the money is well spent. A warranty can help with this by offering peace of mind that, in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, you are covered.

At Jaztime.com, our customers have nothing to worry about, as all of the new luxury timepieces - and many of the used watches - we sell are covered by both a one-year store warranty, and a brand warranty. Below, we explain the differences between these two warranty types and offer advice on which warranty you should use first.

1) Official Brand Warranty

Jaztime.com exclusively sells authentic luxury watches. Indeed, all of our brand new timepieces are sourced from Authorized Dealers (ADs), since only ADs are provided with authentic new watches from brands like Rolex, Omega and Audemars Piguet. In addition to watches sourced from ADs, we also buy used luxury timepieces, and offer trade-ins of pre-owned watches in exchange for new models. Many of these used watches are re-sold with the box and all of the official papers, while some will have part of their brand warranty remaining.

What this means is that all brand new watches, and many of our pre-owned timepieces (unless otherwise indicated by the individual product description), come with the brand manufacturer's warranty card included. Thus, if you want, you can make use of the official warranty and send your watch for repairs at the official brand service facility. Please read the warranty terms and conditions of the brand you are interested in, by visiting their brand website, or by reading the warranty card itself.

Please Note: While many brands claim they will not honor their warranty if you did not purchase your watch from an Authorized Dealer, if you do not tell them explicitly, they have no way of knowing. In our experience, we have never heard of any problems with people claiming brand warranty on their watches as long as they have the original warranty card.

We do, however, suggest you first make use of our Jaztime.com Warranty.

First of all, it is usually a lot faster than the Brand Service Centres (1-2 weeks vs. 2-3 Months). You will have to send off your watch in most cases anyway, since your local AD is unlikely to do the watch servicing themselves. Therefore, there is no real difference between sending it to Jaztime or a Brand Service Centre.

Secondly, there is a small chance the Brand Service Center could find out that you did not buy the watch from an Authorized Dealer and thus might refuse to service the watch. Again, we have never experienced this, but theoretically the brand does have the right to refuse to service the watch in these circumstances.

 

2) Jaztime 1-Year Warranty

Every watch we sell has a 1-Year Jaztime Warranty. Our watches are guaranteed to keep time within specification for 1 year from the date of purchase; or else we’ll service it for FREE! Watches that have symptoms of abnormally gaining time, losing time, or not keeping proper time are eligible to be serviced under our warranty program.

  • Our warranty does not cover "external damage" to the product. The Jaztime Guarantee does not cover any damages resulting from wear to the watch case, crystal/glass, watch bracelet, watch bezel, straps, screws, crown/stem, finishes, clasps/buckles, or any other physical damage to the watch.
  • Damage that occurs due to having the watch serviced by a third party null and voids the warranty from Jaztime. This limited warranty does not cover any damage if there is evidence of excessive wear and tear, or if used under conditions which exceed the watch manufacturer’s water resistance guidelines. Consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this warranty or any implied warranties.
  • No wristwatch is truly waterproof. Watches are resistant to water only under specific conditions. Do not submerge your watch in hot or warm water - especially putting the watch in a Jacuzzi, hot bath, or hot shower. Always keep the crown fastened down and make sure the caseback is on tight before submerging the watch in water.
  • Jaztime's warranty does not cover watch batteries, however, we do offer a complimentary battery replacement within 3 months of the date of purchase.

All of our watches are provided by reliable sources and are 100% Guaranteed to be Authentic. Every piece of our inventory is opened and fully inspected prior to purchase. Jaztime does not purchase "fake" watches, nor do we affiliate with any business or website that sells fake or replica watches. All product listings are intended to be as transparent as possible. Any customizations or modifications made to products are represented in the pertaining listings.
