Hey, guys, this is Kevin from JazTime.com and today we'll be doing a review on a Rolex Datejust 36, reference number 126200 . We'll be going over the price, the dial, bezel, case, crown, bracelet, clasp, and we'll talk about the movement towards the end of the video. Okay. So one thing to mention about this watch, this is a modified watch for a customer that we've done. We take the base model of the 126200 and we actually add on a new style dial, a newer style dial, which is a custom dial. It is the diamond hour markers mother of pearl dial and a diamond bezel as well. The typical retail pricing for the base watch is you're looking at $6,600 at an authorized Rolex retailer, plus tax. And for coming to JazTime.com, you can get the complete base watch with the added on diamonds for the bezel and the mother of pearl diamond hour markers for as low as $7,100. Of course we do, do other versions of the dial. Whatever dial color you're looking for, just give us a call. We'll be glad to help you. So let's go ahead and talk about the dial now, since we're talking about that already. So specifically for this set up, like I said, it's a mother of pearl dial with diamond hour markers. We can do even just regular hour markers as well. If you're interested in just the base model, the base model comes in a silver, white, blue, or black for either index or roman numerals for the hour markers. For arabic numerals, you only can get that in a black dial. For a special floral pattern where it has sort of flowers in the background that are actually raised up higher, a little bit higher than the dial so it adds a nice dimension to the watch. You can get that in a pink, brown, or silver. But like I said, we do do different custom dials, so if you're looking for a specific set up of index or roman numerals or different types of colors, just give us a call. We'll be glad to help you out with that. Okay. But besides that, it is just a standard Datejust, so we have the standard set up, which is we have these diamond hour markers. We have the date at the three o'clock position with the Cyclops lens on top of that sapphire crystal for easier viewing of that date because of the magnification. And at the 12 o'clock position, we have the Rolex crown logo with the Rolex Datejust Oyster Perpetual name brand underneath that in a little paragraph text there. Okay. Specifically for these hands, we're looking at white gold, we're looking at solid white gold hands. No luminosity on these hands. Okay, moving on to the bezel now, the bezel. You're looking at about a carat weight bezel. I believe there are around 42 or 45 diamonds all around this bezel. The standard bezel that the 126200 comes in is actually just a very simple steel, high polished steel bezel. Moving on to the case now. The case, as this is a dress watch, we have nice high polished lugs at the top and at the bottom, as you can see nicely high polished. The case size itself, you're looking at a 36 millimeter case as the name states, Rolex Datejust 36, so from my index finger to my thumb, that is 36 millimeters in diameter. Here's the side of the case, nicely high polished, matching with the sides of the bracelet as well. Not too high of a profile, will fit under suit cuffs, dress cuffs, very nicely. As you can see on the other side of the case as well we've got that same high polish on the sides. Rolex crown logo on the crown itself. The crown is a screwed-on, twin-lock, double waterproofness system that unwinds counterclockwise as shown. I'll go ahead and do that now. So this is the standard position when the crown is fully unwound out. The standard position is where you can actually wind the watch from a dead stop, about 15 to 20 clockwise winds is all you need to get the watch started, started up again and going. Let me just quickly move the hand here out of the way, as I am going to show you that in the next step. So in the standard position, this is the standard position, one simple, one small light tug and you'll be able to adjust the date. Oops, sorry. There we are, going clockwise, you'll see that very easily we'll be able to change the date instantaneously and keep your eye out for the second hand as we move on to the final position of the crown. And that will go ahead and stop the second hand and that's important for, as that allows for precise time settings such as to an atomic clock online, you can set it down to the exact second. So you can have a very precise time setting. Of course the hands do move bidirectionally. So you can set the time however you like. Always make sure crown nice and tight, in against the case, screw it down clockwise. And there you are. Make sure always nice and tight as you want to keep your watch water resistance for up to 100 meters or 330 feet. This is the only place where water will be able to get in, so make sure to keep that crown nice and tight against the case. Moving on to the bracelet now. Once again, it is a dress watch. So we have his very beautiful high polished down the center of the three piece oyster link bracelet made out of 904L steel. The 904L steel is an in-house-made steel by Rolex. Has additional corrosion resistance. One thing to mention is the, there's a very nice contrasting of what they've done. They did a nice high polish down the center with a contrasting sand finish, or brushed steel look on the outer of the three piece links. As you can see, it has even translated on the clasp as well. It really brings more out of the high polish, as you can see that juxtaposition. Very beautiful. So moving on to the clasp now, the clasp is located here. Very simple folding oyster clasp. You can just open it up. Very easily as so, revealing the clasp blades and a nice high polish with the Rolex name embossed on the clasp blade itself. The clasp has one feature and it's what Rolex calls the easy extension link. So behind the clasp, pulling at a 45 degree angle, we'll pop the bracelet out a little bit. And you can actually adjust with the tool, there's a little indentation in the clasp itself there. And you can adjust the bracelet inwards or outwards five millimeter increments. And that's more of a quality of life feature, such as on a hot summer day, your wrist swells up a little bit. Or on colder days when you're, vice versa, your wrist tightens a little bit more. You can keep the watch from moving around or you can keep it from being too tight on your wrist, so very nice thing to have. Moving on to the movement now. The movement is housed in this simple oyster case backing. It is Rolex's tried and tested movement of over 10 plus years. It's their 3135 movement, also used in other watches, such as Submariner or the Deepseas. So you know it's a very good movement if they're even using it in their sports watches as well. It's a perpetual, mechanical, self-winding movement with a precision of minus two, plus two seconds a day after casing. The functions of the center, hour, minute, and second hand, instantaneous changing of the date with rapid setting and stopping the second hand for precise time setting. The oscillator is a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring which adds additional magnetism to the oscillator and, or rather additional resistance against magnetism to the oscillator. And the power reserve of this watch, you're looking at a 48-hour power reserve. So you can put this watch down maybe Friday evening, pick it back up on a Sunday afternoon and it should be keeping time just fine. All right, so I'll actually go ahead and show you this watch on my wrist. One thing to keep in mind, I do have the average man-sized wrist, which is a seven inch wrist, as you can see. Here's the watch on my wrist. Very beautiful, white mother of pearl dial. Diamonds nice and glistening. As you see, still a little bit of room, still a little bit of room left on the bracelet. Okay.
