IWC PORTUGIESER WATCHES

Inspired by the demands of two Portuguese businessmen, who challenged IWC to create a wristwatch with marine chronometer accuracy, the Portugieser was unveiled in 1939, making it one of the brand's oldest existing collections. Visually, Portugieser models are identifiable by their use of Arabic numerals and plain white or black dials, offering excellent legibility, as well as their alligator leather straps. The Portugieser is available in a number of different case materials, including stainless steel, gold and platinum, while some of the more recent models feature complications ranging from perpetual calendar functions to moon phase indicators.
