Today, we'll be taking a look at this Tudor Black Bay 36 S&G, meaning steel and gold, reference number is 7 9 5 0 3. I'll be going over the case, the dial, the bezel, the crown functions, the movement, as well as the bracelet. And I'll be giving you my thoughts on these throughout the video. So starting off with this case, it's in the name, Black Bay 36, 36 millimeters from finger to thumb, two day clock position, or the 10 o'clock to four o'clock position, same diameter, same 36 millimeters. You have a full steel case construction here, high polish along the sides here. Can't see them under the stickers quite that easily, but you can see them kind of like what would be on the center links of this bracelet, all right. So more on that in a second. There's also a satin brush finishing on the fronts of these lugs, tapering down very nicely and tastefully. Very nice to create a very sort of flat bottom profile. Fits on the wrist very nicely and I'll show you that toward the end of the video. So sitting on the very front of this case, you have the satin brush finished bezel. As you can see, it has a circular pattern on there going all the way around. Also in a yellow gold, so it gives a very interesting accent, almost glowing but subtly glowing because it's not like a very pronounced reflection of light, more of like a dispersion of light as it bounces off the bezel here. I wouldn't say so much dull, but more diffused and just generally more subtle. But when it comes to the dial, subtlety is not the key here because this is a champagne dial with a sun ray or sunburst type of finishing. As you can see radially, there are little like geo shaped patterns in the dial to make it a very, very nice sort of sunburst type of look to it. And taking a look at the dial configuration here, looks very much like a maxi dial as you would find on say a no dates Submariner or even GMT Master II from Rolex, very much what you would expect from sister company, from Rolex actually. The 12 o'clock being a large triangle, stick markers for three, six, and nine hours, and dot markers for the rest of the intermediate hours. You also have at the very edge, a minute track, very useful for setting the time. And speaking of which, you can do so using the winding crown here and I'll show you the functions. So just simply unwind the crown at the three o'clock position. If you're watches at a dead stop, just simply wind it at the very first position. About 20 to 30 full winds will get you to the full power reserve. And once you start feeling the resistance starting to ramp up, that damping starting to build up, that's when you know you've reached the full power reserve. Nice and easily there. Pull out to the only other position and it actually stops that seconds hand, giving you that hacking function, so you can then place the hand, the minute hand, precisely wherever it needs to go. And by extension the hour hand as well. There's no date here so it doesn't really matter where the hour hand is on the 24 hours, as long as it's within that same hour. So let's say it's like 10:07 or something, and we can place the minute hand precisely wherever it needs to go based on the position of that seconds hand. Press the crown back in once its nice and synchronized up to an atomic clock and screw it back tightly against the case to ensure the water resistance, which is down to, I believe 150 meters. Yeah, 150 meters or 500 feet below sea level. All right, so what allows this to work is the movement, the Calibre T600, I believe it's an outsourced movement, but I would still trust Tudor to know that they entrust their movements to a company, well, it's either ETA or Sellita. Let me know down in the comments below which company it is. You know, very, very long standing companies who have made movements since who knows, the beginning of time, basically. So you're getting your quality and your worth out of this watch. Power reserve for this one, about 38 hours, so about day and a half. That means you can set this down every other day, pick it back up, say you set it down Monday, pick it back up on Wednesday, no problem. And if you ever need to wind it, doing so very easy, as I showed earlier, just simply use the winding crown, right? So taking a look at the bracelet here while I'm zoomed out, you do have the only, well, the only option here is this bracelet for the steel and gold version. Very much like a Jubilee bracelet, what you would find from a Rolex. The link's sort of alternating, not just a finishes but also the material here. So the outer links being stainless steel brushed, satin brushed finish with the yellow gold links just inside, those also satin brushed finished with steel links down the center at a high polish. So very interesting from Tudor to do this. And very low tolerance on this bracelet as well. Taking a look at this clasp here, we have the Tudor logo on there, the full word mark. Simply lift from the bottom to open it up and pull it open. Nice and easy, fold over clasp system here. And while I'm here, I can try it on give you my thoughts as to how it wears on my wrist. Seven inches in circumference, right? And if you see my videos here already, you'll already know that my favorite size is 36 millimeters because it's a sweet spot. I can see the case and the dial incredibly well. It's nice and big. It just fits my wrist very nicely. So if your wrist is somewhere between, say six and a half to seven and a half inches, the 36 millimeter model is definitely for you. You get a good framing from the 12 and six o'clock sides for the bracelet as well. Incredibly easy to see, feels very nice on the outside, even better on the inside. Because very much like a Jubilee bracelet rests on the wrist very nicely here with very, very little space under the lugs for breathability. Not that that's an issue because the bracelet does give plenty of venting and breathing for the wrist. So you're not going to wear this all day and have a band of sweat around your wrist, not at all. And also with the low tolerance for the bracelet, it's not going to pinch your skin, it's not going to pull out hairs, it feels extremely comfortable, extremely soft as well. And looking face on onto this watch, this dial is the champagne color dial. The only other color being, I believe a black dial, for the S&G version. It's a bit more elegant but this one brings gold to the forefront. It's the model in this line that really commands attention, sort of really turns heads a lot more because it just sort of brings out that gold. And brings it to the forefront rather than having it as an accent, it is the dominant color. And dominance is the name of the game here and the way that the bezel sort of subtly brings you in, it's the dial that sort of blasts you back out very nicely and looks very, very elegant as well. No less elegant than the black one, actually. So that's all I have to say about this. What do you guys think about it? Let us know down in the comments below what you think about this Tudor Black Bay 36 with a champagne dial and bracelet, the Black Bay 36 S&G rather. This one, the model number, I believe 7 9 5 0 3.
