Hey guys, this is Kevin at jaztime.com, today I have something special for you guys today. It's a real Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date. The model number for that is 116618LB and that's in the ceramic blue. As you can see here, you can definitely see that ceramic blue juxtaposed to that 18-karat yellow gold. Actually the whole watch is cased and the bracelet is made out of that 18-karat yellow gold and that does contrast it very nicely. You'll definitely be catching people's eyes as you walk by with this watch. The case itself is a 40-millimeter blue dial. And that Cerachrom bezel here, is actually very scratch-resistant, and it won't fade to UV light. So the blue that you see here, will be the blue 'til the end of time. The bezel is unidirectional and is used for tracking minutes. So let's say you were to go diving, you can adjust the bezel here, and the arrow will point to the minute. So let's just say you go diving for a few minutes, let's say four minutes, right here, it'll track right here, four minutes, when you come back up. And that's, anywhere the minute hand is, you just adjust it to where it is. Alright, so the crown over here is a triple-locking crown. And you want to make sure this is screwed down all the way perfectly tight because this watch stays water resistant up to 300 meters or 1,000 feet when this is fully tightened on here. It does pop out, it does pop out so you can adjust the hour hand, the minute hand, and the date itself. But you always want to make sure this is back inside it. For a demonstration of that, let's go ahead and unscrew that. And you hear one pop, two pops, and this is how the crown looks like, when it's pulled out. And you pop it back in, you pop it back in, and all you have to do is screw that back on. That keeps the watch water-resistant. A neat thing about the water resistance of the watch, which was 300 meters or 1,000 feet, is that most Submariners usually have 100 meters or 330 feet, so this thing can go triple of what a regular Submariner can do. A quick note before we move on is that the dial has a cyclops lens right here, as you can see, let me go ahead. The cyclops lens helps for a better viewing of the date, and this is all covered in a sapphire crystal which makes the watch also more scratch-resistant. Another note is, at the hour markers you see here, these circular hour markers with these rectangular ones and this triangle one up here, is that if you're wearing a watch out in the day, and you get home and it's a little bit late, the hour markers will actually glow in the dark for about eight hours. So when it's dark, when it gets to the night time, it'll be pretty much last throughout the night, so you can always see what time it is. Which is a pretty neat thing. The watch movement is mechanical, it's a mechanical self-winding movement, so if I were to take out the crown here, and just let it pop once, all it takes is just up-and-down movements, about 20 times, and this watch will be fully wound. Alright, putting that back on, make sure that's always back on. The case back is just a solid case back, but it does have a few hallmarks put in by Rolex themselves. It's very hard to see on this camera, but let's see if we can get a little bit closer look here. These little things, these little circles right here, that just look like little circles, they're actually little engravings. One of them is the Rolex crown, is engraved into one of those. Also with the watch moving and a dog. This bracelet on the watch, is, once again, that's an oyster bracelet. It's made in 18-karat yellow gold, all of it's made in 18-karat yellow gold. It features an oyster safety lock which is, let me show you here. So this is the oyster, clasps like that, and this is the lock. And it clasps like that, meaning that watch isn't going to fall off, or isn't going to go anywhere once those two are on and fully locked in. And oh, also one note about the clasp itself, it actually has the Rolex name engraved on there as well, as you can see there. Usually the Rolex watches do come with that Rolex engraving on the clasp itself. I'm gonna go ahead and show you this watch on my wrist, so you can get a general idea of how that looks on a wrist. So give me one second here while I put that on. Alright, look at that watch. It looks very nice under the light, the dial shines a very beautiful blue under the light. And as I said before that blue definitely pops against that gold. It's a pretty good color.
