Hey, this is Jaztime. Today, we are going to do a review on a very cool piece. It's called the Rolex Submariner, all gold, yellow gold. So, let's take a look at this watch and here we go, bam! This is probably one of the coolest watches that Rolex has ever made. It's all gold, as in yellow gold mined from the earth, and every part of this watch is made in gold which means it's gonna get a lot of looks. It's very expensive and very, very hip. Let's go ahead and talk about a few of these things. And, before we do that, let's see what it comes with. It has this booklet here, as you see. Here is the warranty, comes in a fold-out paper of six pieces which has a hologram that if you hold up to the light, you can see, that's actually a watermark, excuse me, right where my thumb is pointing to. It comes into six pieces. Now, if you see this paperwork, this paperwork was produced roughly between late '90s and 2006, like 1999 to 2006. Okay, it comes with this booklet here. It shows a little bit about the Submariner and some information, some history. It has this care manual, it tells you about how to care for this watch, and this booklet holder. Now, let's take a look at the watch itself here. Now, what sets this watch apart from a stainless steel version? Well, for the obvious fact that it's gold, that's one, but also, they make the yellow gold in only two configurations, black or blue. Now, the blue has long been considered a much more popular one because that's the color that sets it aside. They make the stainless one in black, but they don't make the stainless one in blue. You'll notice, here, that the hour markers, where my thumb is pointing, the hour markers meaning the six, seven, eight, nine, 10, it has a yellow gold surround along with the luminous hour marker that helps you see it in the dark or if you're diving. It has this pearloid, which doesn't glow in the dark, but it also is gonna be in this yellow gold. It all matches. These hour markers are gonna be matching in yellow gold, as opposed to this bezel which comes off a stainless steel one which is in, is gonna be white versus yellow. You'll also notice that the date wheel is gonna have this slightly yellow hue to it. So, if you thought you wanted to change your stainless steel to a yellow gold, by just changing out the dial and the bezel, you gotta think again because it has the yellow hue to it, okay. Now, one of these amazing things about the yellow gold watches that Rolex produces, is that they put these amazing hallmarks and that's one of the ways you can figure it out. So, where my right finger is pointing, they have these hallmarks. Now, you actually need a loupe to be able to see them, but I'll just tell you what they are. It's a 750, a 750, on this edge, it's a Saint Bernard, where my right finger is pointing, and another 750, here. If you go Wikipedia them and look at the hallmarks, you'll realize what they are and if you know how to use a loupe, next time you get a yellow gold Submariner, you can check that out. It's also written on the inside of the buckle, right here. Well, it's really tough for you guys to see, I think, where my thumb is pointing or, I'm sorry, my middle finger is moving right there. Those hallmarks are really, really tiny. It's almost impossible for you guys to see it there. Okay, since this watch is a 2006, it's gonna have this single end link, which means, you see how there's only one piece connecting the bracelet to the head as opposed to this watch, where there's two pieces connecting the end link, that's a single end link. You'll notice that this watch has no holes on the side of the case, meaning right where my thumb is pointing, there are no holes as opposed to here, where there are holes, okay. And, let's take a look at how this watch looks like on the wrist. That's the ultra cool Rolex Submariner, yellow gold, 16618 in blue. It's from 2000 to 2006.
