Hey, guys, this is Kevin from JazTime.com and today we'll be reviewing the ladies' Rolex Datejust 28. The reference number for this watch is 279173. We'll be going over the pricing, dial, bezel, case, crown, bracelet, clasp, and we'll talk about the movement towards the end of the video. Alright, so as of August, 2017 you can get this watch from authorized Rolex retailer for $9,150, or you can come to JazTime.com and get it for as low as $7,500. Alright, so moving on to the dial now, the dial I have, the dial configuration I have in my hand here is a champagne dial with index markers. For the index hour markers, they're all luminous filled and they're fashioned in 18 karat yellow gold to prevent any tarnishing. The same can be said for the hands as well. The hands have luminous fill tips along with being fashioned in 18 karat yellow gold. Now if you're not interested in the champagne but you do like the hour markers for index, the only other color you can get this in is silver. If you're looking for not index markers, maybe you're more of a roman numeral fan, then you can get the dial in a silver or a champagne or white. For diamond, for a diamond dial where the hour markers are diamonds, you can get that in a champagne, green or lavender dial, for an additional one thousand over the retail cost. And for, lastly, there's one last configuration in which you can have diamond dials and at the 9:00 position they have a roman numeral nine that's made of diamonds as well. And you can get that in a champagne or silver dial for an additional two thousand over the retail cost. Okay, besides that we have the date at the 3:00 position with a cyclops lens on top of that, sapphire crystal for magnification, easier viewing of that date. Alright, moving on, we have a fixed, moving on to the bezel, we have a fixed 18 karat yellow gold fluted bezel, as you can see, very beautiful. And as I tilt it towards the light you can see the sort of dancing of lights all around. Very nice. Moving on to the case now, the case is a 26, I apologize, a 28 millimeter case from my index finger to my thumb here, that's a 28 millimeter case size in diameter. For the side profile, as you can see, obviously as it's not a very large case size it's not too high of a profile, will fit under suit cuffs, dress cuffs very nicely. And on the sides we have this beautiful high polish that patterns very nicely with the bracelet. Once again on the other side we have that nice high polish patterning with the bracelet. The Rolex crown logo on the crown. And as we move on to the crown now, the crown is a screw-down twin lock double waterproof in the system. So it unwinds counterclockwise, as shown. In which it's, it's in its first position in which you can wind the watch, 20 to 30 times, no more as you might put too much tension in the movement, and it might damage the watch. A simple tug of the crown will allow you to adjust the date instantaneously as you go counterclockwise, as shown. And a final pulling and tugging of the crown will put you in a third position or the final position in which you can set the hands bi-directionally, as shown. And also the hack movement or the seconds hand will stop so that you can set the watch to a precise time setting, such as an atomic clock online, you can set it down to the exact seconds. Of course pressing the crown back in will start that seconds hand once more. Always make sure and screw the crown nice and tight against the case, as you wanna keep this watch water resistance for 100 meters or 330 feet. Moving on to the bracelet now, the bracelet, absolutely gorgeous bracelet with the two-tone or what Rolex calls the Rolesor, which is a mixture of that, that 904L steel on the outer of the five piece links, and then brushed sand, brushed sand finish, while the center is a high-polished 18 karat yellow gold. Patterns nicely throughout the whole bracelet as you can see as I turn this around here. One thing to mention about this bracelet, it is called the Jubilee bracelet, however this, because of the size of the watch the Jubilee bracelet has been changed around a little bit. As you can see as I tilt it over to the side, the center of the Jubilee is not fully flush, so the gold links are not fully flush along with the steel links. So just a little, they're raised a little bit higher and it really adds a little more depth to the watch and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Additionally for the links, for the links themselves, they're more of an oval, they're more of an oval-shaped link compared to the normal Jubilee bracelet which is more of a half-circle. So, little more oval, little more oval shape. Alright, so moving on to the clasp. As you can see here we have the Rolex crown, Rolex folding clasp here, and it's a concealed clasp, and it's indicated by the Rolex crown. And you just go ahead and pull that off, and there you go. We have the clasp blades in a high polish with the Rolex name embossed onto the, onto that clasp blade there. Very simple, very easy, as you can see, the clasp hidden right behind that bracelet, almost a seamless patterning, looks very nice. Alright, moving on to the movement now. So for the movement, it's housed in a simple oyster case backing as a, Rolex's in-house made professional mechanical self-winding movement. It's a caliber 2236 movement. It is USC certified with a precision of -2+2 seconds a day. Has the functions on its center, hour, minute, and seconds hand with instantaneous changing of the date, with rapid setting, stopping of the seconds hand, as I've shown you, with the crown for precise time-setting. And it has a power reserve of 55 hours, meaning you can put this down on a Friday evening, pick this back up on a Monday morning and it should just still be keeping time just fine. Alright, unfortunately I can't put this watch on my wrist, I do have an average man's wrist, which is a seven-inch wrist, this comes in at 6 1/2, bracelet comes in at 6 1/2, so I won't be able to fit this on. So, kind of give you, try to give you a little look, how that would look on a wrist there.
