Rolex Lady-Datejust 28 279174 Silver Roman Fluted White Gold Stainless Steel Jubilee 28mm Automatic - Brand New

Hey guys, this is Kevin from JazTime.com. JazTime.com is an online store that buys, sells, trades authentic luxury watches. We offer the lowest prices anywhere online, and if you want to know the price simply click in the links in the description below. If you enjoy our videos, we would greatly appreciate it if you would buy a watch from JazTime.com once in a while. So today we're gonna be reviewing the Rolex HS28. This is the model number or reference number 279174. We'll be going over the dial, bezel, case, crown, bracelet, clasp, and we'll talk about the movement towards the end of the video. Okay, so jumping right into the dial, the dial configuration I currently have in my hand here is a beautiful silver dial that has a sunburst dial as you can see as I tilt it against the light you can see there is a different contrasting of light well against a darker shadow on that dial, absolutely gorgeous in conjunction with the bezel. The hour markers are Roman numerals for a fashion 18 karat white gold to prevent any tarnishing but also lined with a sort of black lining in each Roman numeral so it's easier to read in the daytime as well, as you don't want the watch to be overshadowed by too much shiny they can't even read the hour markers. So specifically, as this is a Datejust watch, we do have different configurations for this model. So the configurations that you can get, if you're not interested in the silver dial with Roman numerals, you can also get in the index hour markers which has silver, pink, or brown dial colors with index hour markers which are just simple stick markers. If you do like the Roman numerals, and you're just looking for a different color, again those options are silver, pink, brown. Additionally, with white as well. If you're looking for something a little more luxurious you want the hour markers to pop a little bit more, than you can get at in a diamond hour markers in the silver, pink, or brown dial colors, and in other cases you want to go more luxurious. You just want to be a very awe-inspiring, you can get the mother-of-pearl diamond dial, which only comes in the white mother-of-pearl, white mother-of-pearl. There is no dark mother-of-pearl options available for this watch. But besides that is very simple Datejust architecture, which has the Rolex crown logo at the 12 o'clock position. Made out of the 18 karat white gold as well, the Rolex Oyster professional Datejust name right underneath that. The hour markers, or rather the hour hand and the minute hand specifically for the Roman numeral dial is going to be full solid 18 karat white gold, and the date window at the three o'clock position with a cyclops lens on top of that sapphire crystal for magnification and easier viewing of that date. Moving on now, as I mentioned the bezel works in conjunction with the dial. This is a beautiful 18 karat white gold fluted bezel. Again I tilt it against the light you can see the different shadowing contrast of the dark edges, with the light edges really, really brings more shine out of the of the watch. It makes the dial very, very pleasant to look at because of that shine just working all together from the sunburst dial to that fluted bezel. And as we move on to the case, the case we can see that the case are nicely high polished in a lugs. From the top and bottom of the lugs you can see very nice high polish, which helps frame the dial very nicely. The case size for this watch, as I mentioned, this is the Datejust 28 which a 28 millimeter size watch. And it's almost like the size of a quarter on your wrist. I do have a quarter side-by-side comparison here. As you can see, just a little bit larger than a quarter. Well besides that, the side profile of the watch, isn't too high, will fit under suit cuffs, dress cuffs very nicely, and has a nice high polish on the side of them matching with the high polish on the sides of the bracelet. Same can be said, on the other side as well, nice high polish on the side of the case to the sides of bracelet. We have the Rolex crown logo on the crown itself there and as we move on to the crown functions one thing I mentioned is that the crown is a twin lock, and double waterproof in the system. That unwinds counterclockwise as shown. In the standard position, you can wind the watch about 15 to 20 winds, clockwise is all you need to get the watch started from a dead stop. Tugging the crown out to the next position will allow you to adjust the date. Going counterclockwise very instantaneously, very quickly as you can see at the three o'clock position, how easy it is to sort through those dates. I'm pulling the crown out to the final position keep your eye on the seconds hand, as it will stop the seconds hand for precise time setting. Such as to an atomic clock on the line. You can set it down to the exact second. With that said, the hands are brighter, can be adjusted by directionally seeking. Set the time however you like, pressing the crown back in will start that seconds hand once more, and always make sure to screw the crown nice and tight in against the case. Because you want to keep this watch water resistant, for the 100 meters or 330 feet. Moving onto the bracelet now, the bracelet I currently have here is the Jubilee style bracelet, which is a five piece link bracelet with two larger outer links, three smaller links in the center, the three smaller center links are nicely high polish throughout the whole band. As you can see that Jubilee pattern being continuing very nicely all throughout tapering from the first from the lugs down towards the back of the bracelet as to keep a nice proportional view from the front. One thing to mention is that if you do not like the Jubilee style bracelet this also comes in the oyster style bracelet which is a three piece link style bracelet which has a more sportier look than a dressier look but overall is still going to be following the same suite of the nice contrasting of the sand finish on the outer of the three, outer of the links with the high polish down the center. The clasp is located by the Rolex crown logo here in the center of the bracelet and that's called the concealing folding crown clasp. As you open it up you can reveal these nicely high polished clasp blades with the Rolex name embossed on there. So that's how the bracelet looks fully opened up. Once again closed, you can see a nice curvature of that clasp to have a nice feel on the underneath the wrist. That's how it looks closed up. Alright, so let's go ahead and move on to the movement now so the movement is housed in a simple oyster case back and you can see a nice high polish around the bowel or edge with the satin finish on the very top portion of it. The movement is an updated movement from the 2235 movement this is the new updated 2236 movement that's found in most and mostly these watches nowadays for Rolex. It is a in-house made mechanical professional mechanical self winding movement made by Rolex that has a precision of minus two plus two seconds a day as they like to boast about the six o'clock position here. You see that's a prototype currently and are officially certified. That's Rolex's way of saying hey our watch is within Swiss specs. The functions of the movement is in the hour minute and seconds hand, where it's attained changing of date with rapid setting and stopping of the second hand for precise time setting as I've shown you with the crown functions. The powers reserve of this watch has been updated from the previous model which the previous one which was originally 48 hours and now it is a 55 hour power reserves or additional gain of seven hours and a power reserve but not only that they've actually moved away from a breguet hairsprings and they move on to their own in-house main hairsprings called a Syloxi hairspring, which is a silicone hairstrings that allow for that gain of that plus seven hours on that power reserve from that 48 to the 55 so that's the main, the real main update between those two movements. Alright so let me actually go ahead and show you this watch on my wrist. See here, so we'll locate that concealed folding crown clasp, open it up, okay actually I do apologize. This watch, I forget won't actually fit on my wrist. I have an average man size wrist, which was as a 7 inch wrist typically for the smaller Datejust watches you're gonna be looking for an ladies, average lady sized wrist which is six and a half and that's not something I can put on my wrist but yeah so that's the average size. It's a six and a half of course can be adjusted adjusted downwards.
