And if you'd like to know the price, simply click on the links in description below. We greatly appreciate it if you'd purchase your next watch from us at jaztime.com. Today, we'll be talking about this Rolex Lady-Datejust 28. Reference number 2 7 9 1 6 0. This one, a full steel watch with the steel domed bezel, as well. Dark, gray index dial on an oyster bracelet, all right? So, I'll be going over the aspects of all of those that I just covered the case, the dial, the bezel crown functions, as well as the movement and the bracelet. I'll be giving my thoughts throughout these, on those topics throughout this video. So starting off with this case, 20 millimeters is the diameter from two o'clock to eight O'clock. Also, the same diameter from 10 o'clock to four o'clock. You have the mono-block middle case with the screw-down case back in the Rolex winding crown to ensure water resistance down to 100 meters, or 330 feet below sea level, all right? Now, taking a look at the overall finish here, all high polished, as you can see all oystersteel, which is Rolex's own proprietary blend of steel and other materials, and other minerals, rather, to create a very strong steel while also maintain a super high polish. Can't really see it, as well, under these stickers. But you know, we do have this one, factory released. We also have, on the very front of this case, the steel domed bezel, nice and high polished, as you can see. That's the same high polished that you can find on the rest of the case. Basically reflecting every single aspect of, well, basically everything within the room. Right now, it's just a light box, right? Now, take a look even closer at the style. I see dark and gray dial, it's a sunray type of dial, where basically, the tiny patterning on it allows you to have that sort of sunburst type of look to it, as you can see, as well, we have the index hour markers with 18 karat white gold markers, as well as white, 18 carat white gold hands. And, if I turn out the lights here, you'll actually see the chromalight in action. All right, so it gives it a very nice blue tint, very easy to see under any circumstance. It has the very, very bright look to it, and it glows very, very bright. It's actually clipping my highlights on my monitoring here. So that's how bright it is, all right. So, very good watch to start out with, if you are just getting into watches, and you just need to use it at any time of the day, or, you know, if you use your watch at night, this will be a very useful feature for you, especially with the minute and hour hands, also, illuminated as well. All right, So taking a look, also, we also have the date aperture of the three o'clock under the cyclops lens, becomes much larger, which is part of that sapphire crystal, clear proofed and scratch resistant, so you can clearly see the dial very easily. You also have the 18 karat Rolex crown, as well at the 12 o'clock position. Right now, taking a look at how the crown function, the three o'clock crown itself. The winding crown works, just simply unwind it to, then, get to the first position. This allows you to wind the watch. So, if you're at a dead stop about 20 to 30 full winds gets you to the full power reserve, rather simple there. Pull the crown out to the next position, and much like the Datejust 31 models. Rotate the crown counterclockwise to advance the date forward. And it's about an eighth of a turn for every day. So about, you advance about two days, every quarter turn. And so it's a very, very, very incredibly short thrill. So, if you find yourself on the 30th of the month, say April 30th and the day after would be the first of the next month, just turn it once very, very slightly to advance it to the 31st. And then, you'll naturally land on the first when the hour hand sweeps past midnight, rather simple there. Pull the crown to the final position. And note that the seconds hand, actually, does stop there, allowing you to have that sort of a hacking function. So then, you can actually adjust the minute hand, as well as the hour hand, by extension. And when you set the time, you can place the minute hand, precisely, wherever it needs to go based on the position of that seconds hand, thanks to the track for the minutes at the peripheral of the dial. Pull or push the crown back in to start at that seconds. Once you have it nicely sinked up to another atomic clock, for example, and screw the crown back into the case, to ensure that superior water resistance. All right, so what makes all of this work is the in-house made caliper 20 to 36, made in-house by Rolex. Both of the plus or minus two-second per day, time differential after casing giving it that superlative chronometer certification as indicated on the dial. Every Rolex dial, as well, right? You have the Centre hour, minute and seconds hands with the instantaneous date with the rapid setting, and the stop-seconds for precise time setting. All those features, which I had just demonstrated using the winding crown, as well, right? Now, if you take a look at the back of the case, you can't see through the case back to see the movement, you do have that added sense of security, thanks to the steel. Inside, you have these Syloxi hairspring and silicon with patented geometry, with high-performance, Paraflex shock absorbers. What that means is that you can get relatively close to magnets. You can take a few bumps here and there, and they'll be keeping track of time just fine. No need to worry about the timekeeping ability of the movement, all right? Also, you have the bidirectional, self-winding perpetual rotors, center mounted within the watch. So simply put, wind the watch manually using the winding crown, and all you need to do, thereafter, is just wear it on your wrist, and the natural movements of your wrist will actually allow you to wind the watch, naturally, using the winding rotor on the inside, nicely and easily. Okay, there we go. I got the date function fixed there, right? So basically, if you wear it all day, it'll wind all the way up to the full power reserve being 55 hours, meaning that you can just set this down on a Friday evening. You can pick it back up on a Sunday evening, thereafter, or maybe even, maybe even, early Monday morning, depending on how late you placed it down on Friday. And, you can just slap it on your wrist, no need to wind the watch, all right? Back in business, all right? So what makes all, okay, and taking a look at the full framing here of this wash, this one, the Lady-Datejust 28, this one has the oyster bracelet, all right? What that means, is that you have the three piece link across assembly here with flat links, high polished down the center links with sand brush finishing on the outer links, high polished along their sides, as well. You also have the oyster folding clasp, right? So just simply lift the top to open it. And you have the full Rolex stamp logo on the inside, and a full steel assembly, as well, right? Now, taking a look underneath the class, the added benefit of having the oyster bracelet for this model, specifically, is that you do have that easy link five millimeter extension. So, if your wrist happens to swell throughout the day as literally everyone's risk does based on your water content, your body's water content, as well as the, you know, it's just surrounding heat of the environment, your wrist will swell. So if you have your watch, sized perfectly to your wrist at the smaller size, you can just simply reach under here, pull it straight out. And there you go, another half oyster link, another five millimeters to basically, you know, so you can continue to wear your watch without it turning into a tourniquet. When you no longer need it, just simply fold it back in on itself, press it back into the clasp, and you're good to go, all right? And while I'm here, I can try it on my wrist, seven inches in circumference. So, it will look a bit small for me, but if your wrist, well, okay, let me just say, I cannot recommend this for anyone who's wrist as larger than seven inches in circumference, 18 centimeters, right? So, if your wrist is smaller than this, that's why they call it a Lady-Datejust because well, ladies will generally need, well, a few smaller watch because, it will actually fit their wrist much better, right? But that's not to say that this is a bad watch for me because, well, to me, if your wrist is larger, it becomes more of an accessory, a very, very elegant and classy accessory, actually. And with this dark gray dial, it gives it a sort of like that slate look to it, very, very elegant and very simple. And that is where the value therein lies. Right now, taking a look at the lugs as they rest on the wrist. Well, they hug my wrist very nicely. And I imagine, if you have a wrist, six inches or smaller, or even down to five, five and a half inches, it will give you a little bit more space under those lugs, allowing you more breathing room under the bracelet. Not that that's an issue because the oyster links have zero tolerance in them, meaning that there's gonna be a little bit of space among all of these links, meaning that they're never gonna pinch your skin. They're never gonna pull out the hairs of your wrist, right? So it'll feel nice and comfortable all the time. And it feels very light on the wrist because, you know, it being a 28 millimeter watch, it's not that heavy. There's not too much metal content here to weigh you down, so it just looks good and feels good, as well, on the wrist.
