Welcome to Jaztime. Today we're gonna be reviewing a Rolex Datejust, a ladies' 278240 diamond dial, diamond bezel custom. It's a 278240. Here's the watch itself. We're gonna go through a few things, such as how this watch came to be and also why you might wanna purchase it and where you might wanna purchase it from. So let's start. You'll notice that it has a diamond bezel. Now, the bezel is a custom diamond bezel. It was originally this bezel that you see here. And now it has been replaced with this diamond bezel. Now, if you place it on top, this is what it used to look like. And you can see it looks quite plain. But with a new addition, the diamond bezel look, it really makes it pop. The dial itself was also replaced, and you'll notice here at the six o'clock position it has a diamond pave, okay. So look closely, you'll see diamonds paved into the six o'clock position. Now, originally that dial looked like this right here. And you'll notice that it doesn't have any diamonds. This is quite plain. Now, if I place it on top, this is what it used to look like. And you can see obviously why a lot of other people like this one. It also has a pearl look to it. That's called a white mother of pearl. You'll notice that this, the one here is all white, and the one to your left has a slight pearl to it. Okay, so those are two big things. Now, normally the watch in this configuration has a price tag of 16,000 if it's all original. If you just change out the diamond bezel and diamond dial, it drops the price to around 7,000. So you can see why the base model, the 278240, with just a dome bezel and regular dial, is around 5,000, 6,000, and changing it to this configuration via Rolex is almost triple the price. You can see why some people wanna go with the aftermarket setup. Bring your attention to a few other things. This is what's called a jubilee bracelet right here. It has all these five links going across from my index finger to my thumb here. It also has what's called a new style hidden clasp. When I pop it open, it looks like this.
