Today, we'll be talking about the Breitling Avenger Hurricane USA Limited Edition of 250 pieces model XB01701A/BF92. This case is 50 millimeters in diameter, rather large, from finger to thumb. With a lug width of 24 millimeters, 16.97 millimeters thick. Made of a matte black, bright light, or Breitling's own ultralight palmer that was charged with composite fibers for strength and rigidity. Three times lighter than titanium, nearly six times lighter than steel. Also, note that the bezel is a matching matte black unidirectional winding with a diving scale. So you can measure your decompression stops when doing some ocean diving. The crystal on this watch is an anti-reflective scratch-resistant Sapphire. So there's no fear of damaging it from long sleeves, suit threads, buttons, and the like. The case maintains water resistance down to only 10 bar, or a hundred meters, or 330 feet below sea level. So while it's not necessarily a divers watch you can still do much shower dives. And if needed, you still have that rotating bezel to measure your decompression stops. The dial is a volcano black with yellow Arabic numerals, all upright. In a distinctive font to give them that stenciled look. In darkness, the numbers themselves actually don't light up, but the small index arrow markers do. So let's turn out the lights and see how that looks. All right, note that the timing scale also maintains the same luminosity, so you can still use it, so you can still see it at a hundred meters below sea level. All right, now notice that you can see those little tiny hash marks for the index markers, as well as the chrono hand moving around that also has some luminosity at the tip. The hour and minute hands are the brightest along with the diving scale, all right. And the lights back on. All right. So, a little bit more on the dial. It contains the chronograph dials located at the three and six positions for 30 minutes and 12 hours respectively with a small seconds dial at the nine o'clock position. Note that this is a chronograph type of watch, so that there are chrono pushers to the size of the winding crown and they function just as you'd expect, as I have just demonstrated. So I have it running now. You can stop it by pressing the top one again. Reset by pressing the bottom, and note that the hand returned to the 12 o'clock position. So at the back of this case, contains the Breitling Avenger logo and is also numbered as a timepiece had only a limited run of only 250 pieces. A little bit dark here, but I moved the light, so you can see that they're very nice lettering, very nice topography. So the crown contains the Breitling letter form logo with the functionality that you would come to expect from a chronograph type of time piece. So simply unwind it. This first position allows you to wind the crown, and also listen to it for a bit. It's actually a very loud winding. So, not exactly the stealthiest watch, but it certainly gets the job done. The second position allows you to actually change the date window, which I forgot to mention, is actually between the four and five hour marks down there. So rotating it clockwise actually requires an entire rotation to move it one day. Yeah, one full rotation. So that may be a deal breaker for some people because they like to just let that date wheel just fly, but I doubt you'll really be, you know, changing the date all that often. All right, pulling it out to the final position. It stops the second hand, as you can see there, and you can now move the minute hand for precise timekeeping, all right. Be sure to wind that crown directly against the case to maintain that superior water resistance. All right, so now the strap is a military rubber, as you can see on the inside with a fabric stitching on the outside. And the buckle is also a deployment type of buckle with a push button deployment, and a quick micro adjustment for easy wear. All right. Now, the movement in this watch is Breitling's in-house caliber, B01 movement, 28,800 vibrations per hour, with 47 jewels and approximate hour reserve of 70 hours. So you can set this down on Friday evening, pick it back up again on a Monday, and it'll be keeping time, just fine. Now, as you can see this on my wrist it is actually rather large. The lugs are basically holding the strap out beyond the ends of my wrist here. So definitely it would fit on someone who, you know, has a larger wrist or anyone actually really appreciates a larger style watch. So, who exactly is this for? Well, if you consider the type of lettering, and the overall aesthetic of this watch, this is certainly for anyone with an appreciation for, you know, military and timekeeping, and such like that. And certainly, it has very useful functions, you know, with that rotating bezel. If you ever plan to take any, you know, deeper dives in the ocean, maybe it's just some really light scuba diving. It'll work just fine for you. If you are not really into diving, just have that peace of mind, knowing that this watch will stay water resistant in your backyard swimming pool, or, you know, any Olympic swimming pool for that matter. And with that rubber inside and the fabric outside you get the good presentation with the good utility, keeping this on your wrist. It's not gonna go anywhere.
