Today I'm going to be reviewing the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 41 millimeter Rose Gold with Blue Dial Reference 15400OR.OO.1220OR.03. I'm gonna talk to you guys about the bezel, the dial, the case, the bracelet, the movement. Try it on and give you my thoughts. So, let's dive right in. This watch is 41 millimeters as I stated earlier, that's from my thumb to my index finger. It's of the largest Royal Oak collection that Audemars makes. So, if you'd like a dress watch that also looks a bit sporty and you want it large, 41 is the way you have to go. And that would be this size right here. They also make Royal Oaks in, I believe 37 millimeters, men can also wear that, if the 41's too big. But they don't make it a Royal Oak collection anything larger than 41, they make the Royal Oak Offshore in 44 and even larger than that for some of the special editions, but they don't make the Royal Oaks and anything larger. And the Royal Oaks differ from the Royal Oak Offshore, in that the thickness, that means from my thumb to my finger, here is much thinner. In this case, it's 9.8 millimeters. Now, if you take that in contrast to the Offshore, the Offshore is around 14 millimeters. So, it's like 25% bigger or at least 30% bigger. Okay, so let's continue talking about this case, now what I'm gonna bring your attention to here is of course, as I stated earlier this is an 18 carat pink gold case, also known as rose gold case. It has a glare proof sapphire crystal. That means you can look at it in any direction and a case back screw locked crown with water resistance of up to 50 meters. I'm not sure who's gonna go diving with this watch to up to 50 meters. But if you wanted to, you certainly could. Okay, now here's what I wanna show you guys about the case, which some, maybe might've overlooked which is probably why you're watching this video. And by the way, if you like this watch and you want to buy it, please go to JazTime.com. J-A-Z-T-I-M-E.com. There's a link in the description below, of where you can buy this watch. Now, as far as this case goes, I've been kind of turning it to show you some different angles of it. What I wanna bring your attention to is the finish of this watch. And what I mean by that is, check this part out. This is the side of the case. It's brushed gold. Okay, brushed right here. And then the part that's reflecting, you see this part right here where my pinky is pointing to, that part is polished. So, they do a great job. Not only a great job, I would probably say best in the industry. One of the best in the industry, at least. Okay, now if you take a look at this part right here, you see it goes brushed, polished, brushed. You see that, right there? And it goes back on the bezel, look it. On the bezel, they didn't just skimp out and cheap out and say, "Oh, we're just gonna do a whole thing, a high polished." They actually, the flat part of the bezel, you see how they wanted to keep it, like in sync with the case, they actually brushed that part right there on that bezel, right above the rubber gasket. And then they did a high polished right there, where it's reflecting at you. So, they just alternate between it. And it's like, wow, that must have just taken a lot of work. And I can only imagine, you know, how much, you know, work it took. And if you see that, they extend that down this line right here, so that the lines continue. You see how like a line going from my pinky here, it just extends upward. And all of that is high polished and it even extends that line until it diminishes into the case. I really think that's a nice touch. You know, you kind of have to look at it for a while to appreciate that. And if you look, check this out, now moving on to the bezel. Now the bezel is an octagonal bezel. It's one of their trademarks. It actually looks like a circle, right? So, the crystal is a circle. So, the inside of it is circle. However, the outside of the bezel right here is octagonal. You see that it has these, the shapes right here. But what you notice is that the grains of the bezel, they're all going downward. Do you see this high brushed gold, right there? These grains are all going downward. And guess what? The grains on the brushed part of the bezel and the rest of the case are all going downward. So, it's giving this watch a very cohesive look. It just looks like it was a very well thought out polished and a very thought out game plan of how they're gonna design this watch. And of course, you know, that's why you're probably paying you know, these kinds of prices for this watch. All right, now, I also wanna bring your attention to this part about the bezel is that if you notice these screws have six sides, right? There's three on the top and three on the bottom. If you look really carefully and what do you notice about them is the screw itself, okay, is like all turning in the same direction. And you might be asking yourself, how do you turn a six sided screw? Well, the answer is you don't. What you do, is you actually turn it in from the back. So, this is a really ingenious design. You see the backside of this watch, okay? You see how there's a screw, this screw here, where my thumb is pointing corresponds to this top screw here. So, this case is actually three pieces. It's the case. It's the case back. It's the rubber gasket. And then it's the bezel, you sandwich those three in, you put in, this is actually the holder right here. That little screw, it's not screw, actually it's a holder. And then you take it from the back and you screw in the back piece. That's actually how you open and close it. If you have to service this watch, and that's how they close and seal the case. It's actually an ingenious design. And you wouldn't think that, you'd actually think that it unscrews from the front, which it doesn't. And by the way, these screws are made of white gold. I mean, you know, they really just did everything top-notch. As you probably would expect from AP actually. Okay, now let's move on to the dial. Now, this dial is a very special dial. It's a boutique only, what that means is it's only sold at the Audemars boutiques, not multi-brands, but guess what? It's also for sale at JazTime.com. J-A-Z-T-I-M-E.com And there's a link in the description below. Yes, we can get this watch for you. If I don't have it at my office, I'm sure we can find one for you. So, if you wanna buy it, please come to us and buy it, okay. Now the dial, as I said before, it's special. It's a blue dial with Grande Tapisserie pattern, pink gold applied hour-markers, and a Royal Oak hand with luminescent coating. What does all that mean? Basically, it means you have the blue dial here. It's very, very special. They only make this in black, white, and blue. Blue being the more special of the two. And it has this sort of waffle design or they call it the Grande Tapisserie, okay. And you know, it gives it this very 3D look and it's blue. Now, someone's complained to me and says, "Well, it doesn't look blue enough." I'm like, "What do you want, do you want it in fluorescent blue?" I mean, you know, what do you want? You know, black is obviously black, but blue. You know, most men don't want their watch looking like fluorescent blue. So, I think there's a very good blue. And actually only one person said that to me. Everybody else just told me that this watch looks amazing and that they love to own it. If they only had 50, $60,000. That's actually what I would say, 'cause I don't have 50, $60,000. But if I did, I probably would buy this watch. But you, watching this at YouTube. If you are watching this, you're deciding you want to buy it, please go to JazTime.com and buy it. Now, check this out. This is what it looks like under light. So, if you want to see, or I'm sorry under darkness. So, those hour-markers are actually applied with luminescent coating. I'm shining a UV light at it. So, you can see what it would look like at night. So, you can still read this watch. It's actually fairly practical. I guess if you can call wearing a $50,000 watch practical. Yes, it would be practical. You could even read it at night. Okay, so let's move on to the next part of this, which is the movement. It looks exquisite. It looks absolutely perfect. Every single part. I mean, if you look at it, under magnifying glass, which that's what a loop is. You'll see that it was done with the utmost care. And I wanna bring your attention also to these little hallmarks here. You see those little dots, they're not just dots. They're not just like somebody, you know, engrave some nonsense here. No, these are hallmarks. Audemars Piguet hallmarks actually, that designate this watch to be in a precious metal, that being 18 carat rose gold. And if you look at the movement, every single part of it is perfect and kind of move it in a different position. And you can see the balance wheel, the finish on it, the jewels, the oscillator. Everything is done to perfection and you can actually see it as opposed to other watch brands, such as Rolex, which you can't see the movement. So, I think that's a really a huge thing. One of the reasons why you might want to pay all this money to buy this watch, okay. Now I told you, I'd tell you the difference between the 15400 and the 15500. This is the 15400, the older version. The older version has this rotor that looks like this. But the newer version, the oscillator is cut out. It has like a whole design. It has holes in it. You gotta see my other videos on the 15500 review. But, this is the, yeah, that's one of the differences. And another difference I forgot to mention is in the dial. Now, if you look at the dial, the 15400, you see how this three o'clock has a little dot, right? Like a little slash right there. Well, on the 15500 that slash has gone, the date is moved over a little bit to the right. I don't know if that makes any difference to you. To me, it really doesn't. But that is a difference, okay. Other side from that, there's no real other difference. Now, let's move on to the bracelet. The bracelet is an 18 carat pink gold bracelet with AP folding clasp. And what I wanna bring your attention to, okay, is the finish. Again, I keep on harping on this finish but that's because I've seen a lot of watches and this finished is absolutely amazing. Now I wanna, before I do that though, take a look. I have the buckle here. Now, you might be wondering, what are these little dots here? You know, JazTime, what are these little, little like fleas specs? Well, you know, they're not just little specks of nothing. No, they're Audemars Piguet hallmarks that are designating that this watch is in 18 carat pink gold. So, in case you forgot, it would be a nice reminder. Hey buddy, you're wearing an 18 carat rose gold watch. Now, check this out. Here's how it closes. And it has that beautiful snap. Everything's just super, super tight on it. And as I said, I want to show you this finish. Okay, so check out this finish. Now, if you look at the finish, you'll notice that it's brushed and it has, check this, what where it shines and it reflects back, that's actually high polished. Now check this out. It's high polished there, brushed here and even in between this little connecting link, it's high polished right there. I'm like, are you kidding me? And check this out where the link kind of disappears. You'll see at the edge of it, it turns back into high polished. So, it goes high polished, brushed, high polished, brushed. It goes alternates. Even within the same link. I mean, I just can't imagine what would happen if you scratch this thing, you'd have to polished it. I mean, if someone came to me, asked me to polish it. I'd probably just tell them, "Sorry, man it's too much work, can't do it." But you know what? AP can do it. So, yeah. That's pretty awesome. I think it's actually incredible. Okay, I told you, I'd give you my thoughts. So, my thoughts are, well, if you're looking at this watch in the price range, let's not talk about price, because presumably if you've already accepted the price and you realize, "Hey man, I gotta pay like 50, $60,000 for this watch." Well then you'll probably be okay with that. So, price aside, this watch, is for me, the king, you know pretty much the king of the heap, when it comes to AP. I mean, it's gold. It looks fricking awesome. It looks sporty, but you could still wear it in a dressy way. And it's blue. I think, you know, if you can find a blue, which you can, if you go to JazTime.com and call us. Then you have a very special watch because a lot of these, some people have this watch in white or black. But not very many people have it in blue. And they've only made a very limited amount in blue. So, in my opinion if you want a very unique watch, a watch that's sporty, a watch that's expensive, a watch that's also a dressy, a watch that does it all. You don't mind paying 50, $60,000 for this thing, then yes. This would be the watch for you to get. Go to JazTime.com. J-A-Z-T-I-M-E.com.
