Welcome back to Jaztime on YouTube. I'm Madison, and today, I have the Rolex GMT Master II in stainless steel. This is a 116710 reference number. It's a 40 millimeter case. It was launched this GMT Master II in 2005 in the anniversary edition in all yellow gold with a green dial. Took a couple of years for the stainless steel version to come around, but it's got a ceramic, virtually scratch-free and fade proof bezel here, with what you can see is a 24 hour counter. It's unit directional, so it's very useful. The concept of a GMT watch was pioneered by Rolex in the '50s when PanAm came to them and said that they were interested in a time piece for their pilots that would help them as they were traveling to and from, in and out of multiple time zones. So the result was the original GMT Master, and this is yet another iteration with the latest technology with it's parachrom hairspring. It has a bunch of really cool features that allow you to, it has jumping hour hand here. The updated version, this one, it's a super case with a maxi dial. So what that means is the case itself is a little bit larger, so even though, yes, it's a 40 millimeter case, it does wear a little bit larger on the wrist. So some people tend to say, "Oh, I'm not interested in a GMT from Rolex. "I want a bigger watch. "40 millimeters?" "No, too small for me." Well, don't be so hasty. Maybe go try one on at an authorized dealer. You might be surprised how the super case fits on your wrist. It wears very nicely. It wears much larger than its case size would suggest, and there are a bunch of other things about this that you might like. For example, it introduced this larger trip lock crown over here on the side where we have the winding crown, and it has a new, heavy-style bracelet. Let's go ahead and show this to you, with a brush polish down the outer edges, mirror polish down the center. This is an oyster bracelet, so we're got these flat, three-piece lengths. We've got an oyster folding safety clasp deployment here that features the easy link extension, a really ingenious invention by Rolex that allows you without any kind of tools to be able to, if you can see, about here, you can actually, if you're wrist is swelling, I'm not gonna do it because this is a brand-new fully stickered watch. You can actually adjust this watch if say your wrist is swelling on a hot day, and you're just uncomfortably tight, you wanna take your watch off, really, don't, because that is the number one way people part unexpectedly, inadvertently from their Rolexes 'cause they fall out of their pockets. So this easy link, five millimeter extension allows you to get just that little extra amount of room on hot days. It pops out really easily, and gets you that little bit of comfort, so you can keep wearing your watch. It's really very cool, and so the case is solidly constructed. The bracelet is really comfortable. It allows you to keep multiple time zones. It's very cool. It's got that green GMT hand on this model. It's very nice. The ceramic bezel is going to stay this color. It's not gonna fade. It's not gonna chip. It's got a scratch resistant, sapphire crystal. It's got that cyclops eye that's magnifying the date wheel at three o'clock. It's got the loom on the hour markers as well as the hour hands, so this is gonna be a watch that's gonna light up in the dark. You're gonna be able to read it at night. It's a tool watch, but you don't have to be a pilot to wear it. I highly recommend it, and go try it on at your local authorized dealer, and then, for price, head over to jaztime.com. We offer a low price guarantee, free shipping, and a one-year warranty. If you wanna see how this watch stacks up against other favorites like the Submariner, or even previous generation GMTs. You don't get the lug overhang. I highly recommend it, so I'm Madison. I'll see you at Jaztime, and thanks for stopping by.
