Hi, this is Chris over at Jaztime. Today I'm gonna introduce you to the Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller. It's a diving watch. Its reference number is model 116660. This is a 44 millimeter stainless steel case. One of the largest watches Rolex has to offer. So obviously has a pretty high profile, as you can see here, almost like two Submariners stacked on top of each other. But this one can go down to a depth rating of about 12,800 feet. That's 3,900 meters. That's if you wanted to go down 12,800 feet. Most of us would probably be going down maybe at most 10 feet in the water. It's a really popular watch with enthusiasts. It works really well as an everyday wear watch. It has a 3135 movement. This is the same movement they use in the Rolex Datejust or a Submariner or a Yacht Master, both size watches, with a date function at the three o'clock position here. This watch features a ceramic rotating bezel. It's made with a Rolex Cerachrom insert. Hear that clicking? Really clean clicks. Okay. My dome crystal is actually a pretty super thick crystal too that they stick in there. As you can see, it actually is flush with the Cerachrom insert. This is a five and 1/2 millimeter crystal. It's really thick crystal that they stick in there. Allows it to go down to those depth ratings at 12,800 feet. They actually pressure test this watch to go down as far as 16,000 feet so they can actually rate it for 12,800 feet. This watch actually replaced the Sea-Dweller 40 millimeter 16600 diving watch, which is designed to go down to a depth of 1,220 meters or 4,000 feet. This watch is also the first watch to have a glide lock deployment, which allows the user to adjust the bracelet and have it fit over the wetsuit of a diver. The way that it opens up is just like so. Maybe lifting out this separate piece here and opening up at deployment here. Now, if you wanna adjust the length, you can simply pull on the hidden lever here. That opens up the glide lock. See where I push that in? Pull it out. It allows you to actually move this deployment in and out, like so. So you can get a perfect fit. So if you're actually using this as a diving extension, you wanna see this here. This opens up. And you can slide it in over your wetsuit. Fine-tune that so it fits on your wrist properly when you're actually wearing it over a wetsuit. This is how it looks on a wrist. I have a six and 3/4 inch wrist, so this watch is gonna look like a big puppy on my wrist, as you can see there. If somebody with a seven inch to seven and 1/2 inch, maybe an eight inch wrist, this is gonna look perfect on their wrist. I hope you enjoyed this watch review with the Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller 116660 44 millimeter stainless steel diving watch. Thank you for watching us at Jaztime.
