If you'd like to know the price, simply click on the links in the description below. We greatly appreciate if you purchase your next watch from us at Jaztime.com. Today, we'll be taking a look at this Rolex Day-Date, an older model, a 36 millimeter version, white dial Roman numeral, or arrow marks. Spanish days, interestingly enough. With a president bracelet and I'll be giving my thoughts on all of these, all of these features throughout this video, including the case size, the bezel, the dial, the crown functions, the movement, and of course, bracelet. All right, so this model number 1 1 8 2 3 5. That means this is all Everose gold, meaning that it is Rolex's own proprietary blend of red gold with oyster steel to make a nice, strong and high polish. Highly lustrous in any lighting situation. All right, so starting off with the case, we have 36 millimeters from finger to thumb that's in the name, Day-Date 36, from two o'clock to eight o'clock or also ten o'clock to four o'clock same distance, same 36 millimeters, same diameter. You have the model block, metal case with the screw-down case back into the Rolex winding crown to ensure a water resistance down to a hundred meters or 330 feet below sea level. Very nice there, you also have a full high polished presentation on the front of these logs, as well as on the sides of the case, right? You can't see as well underneath the stickers here, but I'm just keeping them on there. Just why the heck not. On the front of this case, you have the fluted bezel, as is standard for all fluted bezels. This one is made with the, Everose gold material here to match the overall compositional look the well the overall color scheme, rather, right? So you do have the sort of distinguished, fluted bezel originally made with the intention of screwing directly onto the furthest case to ensure water resistance down to a hundred meters, 330 feet. But overall, the sort of a modern advancements have made that well, hold on, not all that necessary anymore. So it's just kept as a mark of distinction. So in this case, it's kept there and it's always made in gold in this case, Everose gold, as you can see. Capable of attracting attention from anywhere in the room, very nice, very vibrant and lustrous, depending on your lighting situation. Now take a look at the style. We do have this sort of full on white dial. There's no sun ray or sunburst patterning, nice and flat. Basically kind of how I like it. Keeps the subtleties to a minimum. And it's quite nice with the overall presentation here. The index, well, not, not really index hour markers, the Roman numeral hour marker, is rather index for the one and eleven obviously. But you also have a minute track to help you keep track of the minutes and helps you set the time precisely and a You also have the date up here in Spanish. So right here, I have it on Miercoles, which is a Wednesday, and taking a look at how the crown functions we can just see right here. If your watch is that a dead stop like this one is just simply unwind the crown at the three o'clock position and continue to wind the watch. This manual wind allows you to wind the watch so that you can actually, you know, get the seconds going once more, about twenty to thirty full lines, will get you to the full power reserve. And once you start feeling the resistance starting to ramp up, that's when you've reached the, the full power reserve. Nice and easy there. Pull the crown out to the next position. Now this is the interesting portion here. Rotate it clockwise to adjust the quick set of the date at the three o'clock position, small on dial of course, large on the Cyclops lens. All right. So it's about a quarter turn to advance the date, right? And if you find yourself on the 30th of a month, well, actually you have a couple options there. But if you find yourself on the 30th of the month, say you're on a actually no, you do. You have an easy option here. So if you're on the 30th of a month, you say April 30th, tomorrow is the first of the next month. Just move it over once and wait for the hour hand to move past midnight or vice versa. And you'll land on the first of the next month. No problem there. And also the day of the week will be preserved because, well, if you need to adjust the day of the week, you can just simply rotate the crown counter-clockwise right to the next day. So, and as I said earlier, the dial up here for the day is actually en Espanol in Spanish. So you have Lunes for Monday, Martes for Tuesday, Miercoles for Wednesday, Jueves for Thursday, Viernes for Friday, Sabado for Saturday, and Domingo for Sunday. So Day-Date 36 . Perfect. Perfect, perfect watch for you. All right. So keeping that, all that in mind, you can also pull the crown out to the final position. This allows you to stop that second hand, giving you that ability to move the minute hand, precisely wherever it needs to go based on the position of that second hand, and thanks to the mini track at the, at the peripheral of this dial, you can set it nicely and precisely and there, oops, I overshot it. Be sure to move it forward, but don't move it backward because that ensures the accuracy of the main hand. Once you have it nicely synchronized up to an atomic clock, press the crown back in to ensure that the second hand starts up once more. Screw it back back tightly against the case to ensure that superior water resistance. All right. And also I kind of messed up the date, the day date function there. All right, there we go. Nice and fixed up. All right. So what makes all of this work on the inside is the caliber in-house caliber 31 55. That means that you do have the plus or minus two second per day, time differential after casing. Giving it the Superlative Chronometer certification as printed on this end, every Rolex style. You also have the center mounted hour, minute, and seconds hand with the precise time setting for the, the stop seconds, as well as the quick day, the quick set day and date functions operating independently, but also simultaneously as well. Thanks to that, the movement of the hour hand. You also have the pair of flux shock absorbers and the purple and blue hairspring meaning that you can take a few bumps here and there. You can get relatively close to magnets and circuitry and the like, and it won't affect the timekeeping of the watch at all. It'll be keeping track of time just fine. And also you do have the center mounted, a perpetual winding rotor on the inside of the watch. You can't see it through the case back, but you do have the added gold content here. So you knew, you know, that you're getting your gold contents worth from this watch. The center mounted rotor allows you to wind this automatically basically just wind it as I have manually, using the winding crown, and just wear it on your wrist. The natural movements of your wrist will keep the watch wound up to its maximum power reserve. This one up to 48 hours. So basically you can set it down every other day, pick it up, you know, in two days it'll be keeping track of time, just fine. No need to wind the watch and just wear it every other day. And you literally will never have to wind it at all. Right. So while I'm zoomed out here, you can actually see the framing for this watch. This one on the president bracelet as all dates are and matching gold with the Everose gold look here, the center links being a high polish, the outer links, also a satin finish with a nice high polish along their sides. All semicircular links with three-piece links across. All right. So as I was saying, it combines the best of both worlds. Meaning that it has the flat well sort of the, the strength of the oyster bracelet three three-piece links across with the semicircular links of the Jubilee bracelet gives it a very nice luster with all of the curvature there, while also keeping it nice and soft and supple underneath. Alright now, we also have the concealed folding clasp, meaning that you can just simply, basically hide the clasp along with the links here. So you have the very seamless look while wearing it. To open it just simply lift the top of the crown to unhook it. And it opens up nice and easy. You have the Rolex logo and their hallmarks underneath the clasp here. If I can zoom in and get a good focus on them. All right. So it's hard to see all the fine details of the hallmarks, but they're basically the same ones that you would see underneath the lugs of the watch, as you can see. Also, I'm not able to zoom in any further on those. So that is what it is, right? Well, I'm here. I'll try it on and give you my thoughts as to how it wears on my wrist, 37 inches in circumference. And if you are familiar with my videos here, 36 millimeters is the sort of perfect case size for any watch on my wrist, seven inches again. And that's because I do have a very good overall compositional look with the dial, not too big, not too crammed either. And also a good framing on the 12 o'clock and six o'clock sides of the watch case. All right, taking a look straight down the wrist here, little bit of space underneath the lug. There, not that that's an issue, because the president bracelet gives you plenty of breathing room, much more than the oyster bracelet does and comparable with the Jubilee as well. And with the zero tolerance of these links here basically means that none of these links will pinch your skin. They won't pull out any hairs from your wrist and it vents the skin, very nicely vents, the wrist very nicely. So it actually feels good. And you won't take us off at the end of the day with a sweat band around your wrist. It just feels very nice as well. All right. And again, just taking a look at the sort of face of this watch, incredibly easy to read nothing more high contrast than a white dial with, you know, darker hour markers. The minute track in black gives it the highest contrast possible with the Roman numeral hour marks really giving it a very good sense of a cohesiveness with that overall sort of the track look of that minute of the track with a sort of an art deco style to it. All right. And it also gives it a very distinguished and very classy look as well. So something I very much like here. And I and well, since, you know, I sort of understand a little bit of Spanish and, you know, you know, I can actually work with this day indicator as well. So no problem for me there. Well, enough of what I think, what do you guys think about this watch? Can you speak Spanish? And if so, would this watch work just well enough for you? At the twelve o'clock position.
