Rolex Datejust 41 126331 Sundust Diamond Fluted Rose Gold Stainless Steel Oyster - Brand New

Hey guys, this is Kevin from Jaztime.com. Jaztime.com is an online store that buys, sells, trades authentic luxury watches. We make these videos so our customers can easily choose the best watch for themselves in the comfort of their own home. We offer the lowest prices anywhere online and if you'd like to know the price of the watch, simply click on the links in the description below. We'd really appreciate if you'd buy a watch from Jaztime.com once in a while. Okay. Today, we're gonna be redoing a review on the Rolex Datejust 41. This is the reference number or model number: 126331. We'll be going over the dial, bezel, case, crown, bracelet, clasp, and we'll talk about the movement towards the end of the video. Okay so jumping right into the dial, the beautiful dial configuration we currently have in my hand here is the Sundust Dial with diamond hour markers. As you can see, the diamond hour markers are fashioned in a sort of square setting that is made out of 18-carat Everose gold, Everose gold being Rolex's in-house made rose gold termed Everose gold because they added a special mixture, mainly they've added a little bit of extra platinum into the mixture of the rose gold, and that helps keep this a beautiful rose gold color throughout its lifetime whereas other rose golds might have a nicer red to it but will fade over time, whereas Rolex ingeniously thought to add platinum to it to keep that rose gold color through its lifetime. But besides that, if you're not really interested in this beautiful sundial style, you can see it also has a sunburst feature as well. As I tilt it to the left and right, you can see the sort of raise of that dial being contrasted by some darker edges really bringing the shine out of that face of the dial, really working very beautifully with the fluted bezel as well. You can see the fluted bezel sort of taking those dark contrasting shadows as well with nice highlighted areas when tilted against the light, working very nicely in unison with the diamond hour markers as well. But if you're not interested in the diamond hour markers, you're looking for something a little different, maybe some index hour markers which are the stick hour markers, you can get that in the same dial color the Sundust dial or the brown dial. For Roman numerals, it only comes in one dial color which is the slate dial with green Roman numerals. And for the diamond, you have the choice of this Sundust dial or the brown dial. Of course, the most luxurious option out there is the Mother-of-Pearl dial, white Mother-of-Pearl with diamond hour markers, so very similar-looking hour markers, just with a Mother-of-Pearl background. This is your typical Datejust, though it follows the same Datejust architecture which has the hour markers, the date window at the three o'clock position with Cyclops lens on top of that sapphire crystal. You can see that little protrusion from it for with the magnification, easier viewing of that date. And then of course you have the Rolex crown logo at the twelve o'clock position and you have the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust name right underneath that crown. The hands of the watch are a solid 18-carat Everose gold as well. Okay so moving onto the bezel now. The bezel is just a very beautiful. As I mentioned, it's a fluted bezel in 18-carat Everose gold. See, very beautiful, helps to encompass that dial very nicely in conjunction with the high polish on the lugs of the case. You can see that nice high polish on the bottom and top lugs of the case. Really helps frame the whole face of the watch and makes it very appealing to the eye when looking straight at it. The size of the watch is stated by the name, the Datejust 41. It is a 41-millimeter watch so from my index finger to my thumb here, that's 41 millimeters in diameter. Well on the side of the side profile of the watch, you can see actually not too large of a profile. It's actually a slimmer-style profile than the previous older-style Datejust which was the Datejust II. They have actually slimmed down the bezel on the case on this one so it will fit in suit, dress goes very nicely. Also having a nice high polished patterning to the sides of the bracelet as well. You can see on the other side, same patterning as well. With the Rolex crown logo on the crown itself, the crown being that 18-carat Everose gold as well. The case being in a 904L steel which is an in-house made steel by Rolex and that has additional corrosion resistance and a nicer shine to it. But as we move onto the crown functions now, the crown is simply a screw-down to unlock, double waterproof in the system. Unwinds counterclockwise as shown and the standard position is where you can wind the watch. About 15, 20 winds is all you need to get the watch started once more. Pulling the crown out to the next position will allow you to adjust the day at the three o'clock position instantaneously by going clockwise. Very simple, very easy to use. And pulling the crown out to the final position, I'm actually gonna wait for the seconds hand to skip past the date window here and we're gonna go ahead and pause that at the four o'clock position. And then you'll be able to adjust the hands bidirectionally. The stopping of the seconds hand is part of the movement feature so it allows you set the time to an exact time such as so in the 10 o'clock line. You can set it down to the exact second. Pressing the crown back in will start that seconds hand once more. And always make sure you screw the crown nice and tight and against the case as you wanna keep this watch water resistant. Specifically for this watch, you're looking at a water resistance of 100 meters or 330 feet. Moving onto the bracelet now, we have a very beautiful Oyster-style bracelet. Typically Oyster-style bracelets are a sportier style look that you would see on the Submariner or Sea-Dweller, Deepsea, or other such sports pieces. But this one we have is similar to the previous models Daytonas where we have a nice Oyster-style bracelet but it has a nice high polish down the center on the gold portion of the links, all being contrasted by a nice sand finish on the outer of the three pieces. You can see that pattern goes throughout, even through the clasp. It looks absolutely gorgeous in terms of that contrasting shine from the gold and from the steel as well. You can see nice proportional links starting from the first link back and it helps keep a nice proportional view of the watch when looking head-on. As you can see, very beautiful. But specifically, if you don't like the Oyster-style bracelet, you're looking for something a little more dressier, there is the Jubilee-style bracelet as well which is a five-piece link bracelet and that is typically shown on other dress watches. We're gonna go ahead and move onto the clasp now. The clasp is just a simple, folding Oysterclasp with the Rolex name embossed on this high-polished clasp blade. As you can see, that's the watch fully opened up. Once again, closed. You see a nice curvature of that clasp to fit underneath that wrist comfortably. All right, so we're gonna go ahead and move on to the movement of the watch now. So the movement of the watch is an updated movement. This is the 3235 movement whereas the previous Datejust movements was the 3135. So the 3235 kinda follows the same suit as the Day-Date President's, the 3255. They've added a few minor updates to the movement itself so it is a perpetual, mechanical self-winding movement, in-house made by Rolex, has a precision of minus two plus two seconds a day as they like to boast about the six o'clock position with the Superlative Chronometer Officially certification at that six o'clock position there. The functions, I've already shown you. The center hour, minute, and seconds hand with the instantaneous changing of the date, all with rapid setting and also stopping of the seconds hand. What they've done is besides the Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring that was standard on the 3135, they've actually added their own in-house made shock absorbers which is the Paraflex shock absorbers or high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers which Rolex claims absorb 50% more shock absorption than the industry standard of the KIF shock absorbers. But they also updated the escapement. They've added their own escapement called the Chronergy escapement which is a skeletonized escapement wheel. Well, that's made out of a nickel-phosphorus. So the skeletonization helps with the reduction of inertia so it helps to keep that precise timekeeping while also helping the watch become more energy-efficient which is why the power reserve is now a 70-hour power reserve up from a 48-hour power reserve. Not only that, but the nickel-phosphorus helps in conjunction with the Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring to help with the resistance against magnetism. All right, so I'm gonna actually go ahead and show you this watch on my wrist now. So pop open that folding Oyster, and there we are. See, absolutely gorgeous Everose gold just kind of highlighted throughout sort of that great-looking flesh tone while also having that beautiful Sunburst dial. You can see that contrasting of the shinier portions to the darker portions of the dial with the bezel really just makes a very, very eye-appealing look, direct-on look from the front, just very, very eye-catching and you can see that high polish really doing wonders all around throughout that bracelet. And once again, look at the profile of that watch. It won't sit on the wrist very high so you can wear your suits, you can wear your dresses and it will fit under the cuffs very nicely without stretching it.
