Today, we'll be going over a Rolex Datejust 36 with a white dial, Roman numeral hour markers with a diamond bezel, Jubilee style bracelet reference number 126284 RBR. But actually, no, that's not what the model is. It's actually 126200. That's because this diamond bezel was actually placed by a customer. It came from a customer's request. It's a white gold bezel with diamonds set in it. Here's the original bezel with the steel domed appearance there. And this is what it used to look like. All right. And now here it is. This is an aftermarket bezel that we have placed on here for the customer's request. To essentially make what started out as a lower priced watch or a watch at a lower price point appear to be ... Well, not just appear but literally become a watch at a higher price point with the bling to match. Anyway, we'll be going over the case, dial, bezel, crown functions. As well as the movement and the bracelet. And I'll be giving you my thoughts on all of those throughout the video. This case, as indicated in it's name is 36 millimeters in diameter from finger to thumb. All right. It also has the monoblock middle case with the screw down case back and the Rolex winding crown to ensure water resistance down to a hundred meters or 330 feet. This bezel on the front was the domed bezel. As you can see right here, this is what it used to be. But now we've replaced it with a white gold bezel with diamonds set regularly, and with the correct rotations to essentially change the model number to 126284 RBR. All right. And as you can see, it matches very well with the case as well because the white gold does compliment the high polish of this steel case which is actually all high polish, all oyster steel. Meaning that it is Rolex's own proprietary blend of steel and other elements to make such an extremely high polish with the durability to count for that. Here we have the white gold bezel, which matches that of the oyster steel with diamonds placed on it. All right. And now leading down into the dial here, we have the white Roman numeral dial with 18 karat white gold as well. Roman numeral hour marks which reflect light depending on the angle, as you can see. And also the Rolex crown at the 12 o'clock position, the only number not represented by a literal Roman numeral. The Roman numerals, give it a very distinctive sort of art deco sort of flare to this. Giving it sort of a timeless look overall, a very good look as well. There's also a small minute and seconds track along the periphery of the dial. So if you ever need to set your time precisely you can do so very easily. Also keep in mind that there is a date window at the three o'clock position with a Cyclops lens directly over the aperture. So you can very easily read it. It magnifies it by about two and a half times. So you can really easily read the date. It's also part of that scratch resistant sapphire crystal. So there's no fear of suit threads or buttons potentially damaging it. Right now, when it comes to the functions. Setting the time, rather easy. Simply unwind the crown at the three o'clock position. This allows you to wind the launch at the first position. If you're at a dead stop, about 20 to 30 full winds is all you really need to get it fully wound to the full power reserve. Pull out to the second position and rotating it clockwise will allow you to advance the date by one. It's a little bit less than a quarter turn actually to advance the date by one. All right. So if you find yourself on say the 30th of a month and tomorrow is the first of the next month, you can just simply do a half turn and there you go already on the first of the next month. Easy. Pull the crown out to the final position and note that the seconds hand has actually stopped. This allows you to precisely place the minute hand based on the second hand's positioning. And just simply synchronize it to an atomic clock, press the crown back in to start up that seconds hand once more. Wind the crown tightly back against the case to ensure that superior water resistance. Now, what allows all of this to work is the inside. The Rolex in-house made caliber 3235. Again, made in-house by Rolex. It has the plus or minus two second per day time differential after casing, which gives it that Superlative Chronometer Official certification. Which they also print on the dial so that you know that they're serious. That their time pieces will definitely keep time and exceed the Swiss standards, the COSC standards of plus seven minus five seconds per day. They have plus or minus two seconds per day which is even more precise after casing. We have the center hour, minute and seconds hands with the instantaneous date with rapid setting and these stop seconds for precise time setting. All of which I had just demonstrated. We also have the paramagnetic Bleu Parachrom hairspring with high performance paraflex shock absorbers for the oscillator, which means that you can essentially get really close to magnets. You can take a few bumps here and there and it'll be keeping track of time just fine. No need to worry about the time keeping ability for this watch. It also has a bidirectional Perpetual rotor which allows it to wind itself, which gives it the self winding capability. Meaning that all you need to do, simply wind the crown to the full capacity. And all you need to do is just simply place on your wrist, wear it. The natural movements of your wrist will keep it wound up to the approximate 70 hour power reserve. That's nearly three whole days. Quite impressive for a time piece such as this. A Rolex Datejust. So you can place it down on a Friday evening, pick it back up on a Monday morning ready to take on all your business, no need to wind the watch. Also looking at the framing here, we have the Jubilee bracelet. Five piece links across, the three middle links being a high polish, while the outer two links are a satin brush finish. We have high polish along the sides of these links as well, tapering very nicely, gradually down to the oyster folding clasp. Okay, this oyster folding clasp opens simply just by lifting the top to unhook the top portion there. You have the Rolex stent logo on the inside, and you know that you're dealing with a fully steel bracelet here. Okay, now on the inside of this folding clasp, we also have this bonus little five millimeter Easylink extension. So throughout the day, if you have your bracelet sized perfectly to your wrist and so you eat an entire spicy bowl of ramen. Well, your wrist is very likely going to swell because you'll need to hydrate and therefore your wrist swells up. And so does the rest of your body, but just, subtly. But this is just a subtle little extension here. So simply all you need to do is just reach underneath and pull it out. And there you go, extra five millimeters of extension or in other words, an extra Jubilee link if you need it. So, your watch does not actually become a tourniquet on your wrist. When you no longer need it, just simply fold it back in on itself press it back into the clasp. And there you go, nice and easy. That's what makes it the Easylink extension. Now, while we're here, I can actually try it on. Also give you my thoughts as to how it wears on the wrist, how it feels. Okay. So on the wrist 36 millimeter Datejust feels excellent because it looks excellent as well. This one fits on my wrist very nicely. I have a seven inch wrist. So actually I found out I'm actually smaller than my average build. But anyway, here we go. Here we are. I get a very good framing of the bracelet versus the case here. So that's a very good, excellent framing overall because I know I'm wearing a Rolex watch. Very easy to read dial as well. The white dial gives it maximum contrast against these white gold Roman numerals as well. Very easy to read. And also looking down the wrists here, there's a very slight bit of space underneath the lug. Now your mileage may vary depending on your wrist size. But for me right now, I have a tiny bit of space under the lug just so that I have a little bit of the extra breathing. On a 41 millimeter Datejust, I will have much more overhang of those lugs. And on a 31, I'll have a much tighter fit from those lugs. But either way, I still have excellent breathing room thanks to this Jubilee bracelet, which has so much space among all of these links that my wrist will never sweat. It will never happen. And also these links are actually far apart enough so that there's never going to be a chance that they'll actually pull out any arm hairs, if that's your concern. For me, not so much. But, again, your mileage may vary. And when it comes to the overall presentation, you can't go wrong with all of these diamonds on such a clean white dial with white gold counters. In this case, the Roman numerals. Very, very easy to read and it just looks plain good. What makes this very desirable as well? Is that all of this is actually steel. Well minus the white gold for the bezel, but only you know that and well I do too. And anyone else who may know about these diamond bezels as well. But you can wear this casually on the street. You can wear it anywhere because there's really not that much to fear about this getting any damage because it is all steel. It's much less malleable, much stronger than gold. Much stronger than white gold, yellow gold, et cetera. So anyway, enough of what I think. What do you guys think about this watch? Let us know down in the comments below.
