And if you wanna know the price, simply click the links in the description below. We greatly appreciate if you buy a watch from us once in a while. Today, we'll be talking about the Rolex Datejust 36 with an Aubergine dial, Pave 6 9 on Oyster bracelet. Reference number 126234. A newer model in Rolex's line of Datejust 36s. As of the making of this video, this model is among the newest in the line. And as the name suggests, the Datejust 36 is 36 millimeters in diameter from finger to thumb. For strength and corrosion resistance, while maintaining a luxurious look and feel, formula featured on Rolex models since the early 1930s. The case back contains a typical screw-down. Ensuring water resistance down to 100 meters or 330 feet. In addition to this, the right side of the case contains this signature Rolex winding crown, and when screwed tightly to the case, continues to ensure superior water resistance. The crystal is transparent, scratch-resistant sapphire. So there's no fear of suit threads or buttons damaging the crystal. There's also a Cyclops lens directly over the date for easy reading at a glance. The bezel on this model is fluted, capable of attracting attention from anywhere in the room as it shines brightly from nearly any angle. It helps bring out the contrast in this dark aubergine dial. Speaking of the dial, it contains a Sunray aubergine, shade of violet giving it a nice texture while also maintaining easy readability. And in English terms, aubergine is actually another word for eggplants. But I feel that the term aubergine actually gives it a much smoother sound and presentation and feel than say the word eggplant itself, purple, violet, or even Tyrian. The hour markers are white gold Roman numerals allowing them to pop against the dark shade of aubergine. The six and nine are handset with diamonds as well. They maintain visibility very well in more angles than the white gold Roman numerals, as you can see. The crown contains a Rolex logo and ensures water resistance down to 100 meters or 330 feet as stated before. Setting the time and date are rather simple. Simply unwind the crown. And the first position, you can wind the watch. The second position, when pulled out, changes the date forward when you rotate it clockwise. And the third position, stops the second hand and allows you to move the minute hand. So you may adjust the time precisely. Be sure to close the crown by pushing it and winding it back up against the case to ensure superior water resistance. The bracelet is Oyster style with flat three-piece links also made of Rolex's own Rolesor in the middle between brushed steel on the outside. And the crown, or rather, underneath the clasp is a five millimeter extension. So pulling it out allows you to have more comfort, as the day goes on, depending on your hydration levels. So this is with the extension open. And the extension closed. Closing this up. The most important part of this timepiece from a technical standpoint is the movement. One of Rolex's newer in-house movements, a 3235 calibre with a plus or minus two second time differential per 24 hours. Continuing to exceed Swiss standards of timekeeping is a perpetual, mechanical and self-winding timepiece. So you only need to wind it once fully while wearing it. So you can wind it throughout the day. The oscillator contains high performance Paraflex shock absorbers and hairspring prevent electromagnetic interference. So it keeps the movement consistent in nearly any condition. The power reserve, as this is a Datejust 36 model, is about 70 hours. So you can set it down on a Friday evening, pick it back up on Monday morning, ready to conduct business and it'll be keeping track of time just fine, no need to wind the crown. And let's try this watch on. Notice that the profile is rather low on my wrist as compared to say a Submariner or Sea-Dweller. And despite the textured bezel, it allows it to slip in very nicely under any coat or jacket sleeve. I feel that this dial size works very well for me. But it may appear a bit small for someone with a larger wrist or a bit bigger for someone with a smaller wrist as mine. So who is this for? If you've been watching our channel, you will have seen our video from March of this year on the Datejust 36 variation of this watch with a diamond bezel. And while the Datejust 31 version was released in early September, they only advertise that this aubergine shade only really comes with the diamond bezel as well. And with only a Pave 6 without the Pave 9. And that there's a fluted bezel in this model actually helps dial back the luster and puts more focus onto the dial color itself. Meaning that this model is more utilitarian for me than applying to say aesthetics or appealing to aesthetics when compared specifically to that of the model of the diamond bezel. But that's not to say that any stakes were really truly sacrificed here. The aubergine shade gives a very royal feel and look to it especially in the daylight. So what are your thoughts on this timepiece? Does the aubergine seem too dark in comparison to the Roman numerals? Especially with the diamond set six and nine. Or is it just the right shade for you? Is the fluted bezel better than a diamond bezel in terms of presentation or practicality or does it seem to reduce the timepiece's value in it at any rate? So leave a comment with your thoughts and be sure to like, share and subscribe. And we'll see you in our online store at Jaztime.com.
