Welcome to Jaztime.com, today we're gonna be reviewing a Rolex Daytona, 116528, Cosmograph Daytona, in yellow gold. This watch is very special for a couple of reasons. I'm gonna go through that with you, what it comes with, the unboxing, and a few special features about his watch. And at the end of this I'll show you where you can actually purchase this watch. Now you'll notice it has a white diamond dial, that's very special, I'm gonna go ahead and talk about that a little bit, but first let's go ahead and see what does this watch come with. When I flip down the flap here, you'll notice that it comes with, and this little pouch has a warranty card. The back side kind of looks like a credit card. It comes with this instruction manual, Worldwide Service, in a bunch of different languages, about Factory Service, about how often you need to service it, how to keep our watch in the best condition, blah blah blah. You can look that up on their website. This one is an instruction manual about how to use the watch. I'm gonna show you that, so you don't have to look at, through it yourself. It's also downloadable on their manufacturer website, Rolex.com. Now let's take a look, what else this watch comes with. You'll notice that it has this circular hang-tag. This is a COSC cert. And sometimes the watches come with both the rectangular hang tag as well as the circular hang-tag. It just depends. The purpose of the hang tag is so that the dealer can identify which watch is sitting in their inventory. Sometimes it has it, sometimes it doesn't. Now, the watch itself, now let's start with the head. So we're gonna go head, bracelet, buckle, and then how to. So the head, you'll notice that it comes with this beautiful white diamond dial. Now what do you guys notice about this dial? What's interesting is, you see where my thumb is pointing? At this 15? And where my left thumb is pointing? This 45? These two ones don't have diamonds. That's right. So you'll see eight diamonds at the one, two, four, five, seven, eight, 10 and 11 position. And those diamonds, since Rolex is Rolex, they put, make very very high quality diamonds, all of them are de-colored, they're all flawless, and if you actually had a loupe or you could see it where I'm seeing it, it looks absolutely perfect. Another notable thing you'll notice about this watch as well, it's in yellow gold. And that might not seem like such a big deal, but in fact it is a big deal, because yellow gold is produced, I'm sorry, Rolex produces their yellow gold watches in their old own gold foundry. That means they manufacture it, but they refine the gold in their own gold centers. So that allows them for more control of the quality of the gold. Okay, so what else do you notice about this white dial, is that not only does it have the diamonds, which is about a $2000 upgrade, it also has luminescent hands. So that's one of the problems with the other versions is that at night time when you're trying to see what time it is, if you didn't have luminescent hands you couldn't tell, because they had white gold hands. Now these, this one has luminescent hands, and that's one of the changes that they made. It's not in every single one, but it is a nice feature of this watch, okay? So let's go ahead and look at the bracelet next. Now what do you guys notice about this bracelet, other than it's gold? Well you'll notice in the center it's high polish and on the side it's brush polish. So where my finger is running back and forth, that's the brush polish, and where my finger is running back and forth here, is the high polish. And that leaves a nice contrast as you can see here, it obviously looks quite nice, I think you would agree. Okay, so that's one of the cool features of it. Now you'll notice that this buckle, now I told you I was gonna tell you about the buckle next, and here we are at the buckle, now what do you notice about this? This is for the 2008 or newer, ah, flat buckle. They started using this style buckle. Do you guys see that? Do you notice how it's flat? That's why it's called the flat buckle, as opposed to the F-style buckles from 2008 or earlier, 2000 to 2008. Okay, now what do you guys notice about here? I know it's a little bit hard to see, but, I'm gonna try to focus it, and you see these hallmarks that my finger is tapping on? Those are gold hallmarks. Why? Because well this is yellow gold. Now those hallmarks are, you can probably look 'em up on Wikipedia to see what they're all about, they are very special, and I'm not gonna go into that much detail 'cause there's other videos on it. But you can see where my other finger's pointing, at the end of these lugs, for my finger's pointing one here, two here, and the third here, and the fourth here, where my finger's pointing. Those are all hallmarks. Now since this is the internet and we're on the internet you guys can look on Wikipedia and check out what those are. Okay, now I'm gonna show you briefly how to use this thing. Unscrew the top, you'll notice that the second hand, which is where my thumb is pointing at the six o'clock, is moving, you see that moving obviously. Now if I want to start the chronograph, I would go ahead and press the top button. Once I press the top button, and this second hand revolves around one full revolution, this minute hand over here on the right where my thumb is pointing to, will move over one tick. Once that moves over one revolution, or 60 minutes, the left hand subdial will move over one tick. This allows this watch to calculate elapsed time of 12 hours, okay? Once I want to stop it I go ahead and just press the top button, like so, click, and then restart it. Go ahead and tighten it all down, so that it's water-tight again. And voila! I wanna go ahead and try it on, so you guys see how it looks like at home. Okay, there it is, that's the Rolex Daytona 116528 yellow gold with white diamond dial.
