What's up, watch lovers? This is Madison from Jaztime and today I have the brand new 2016 Rolex Air King. This is a 116900 reference number and very excited to be able to show this to you because this is the newly re-launched Air King and I'm just going to walk you through some of the finer parts. So this is still an oyster 40 millimeter case, in 904L stainless steel. It has a screw down case back. We've got the winding crown, and right away you can kind of see the highly reflective but smooth and still understated bezel going all the way around here. And on this watch, we've got the winding crown using a twin lock double waterproof-ness system that's going to keep this watch water resistant to 100 meters. So that's, you know, plenty, 100 meters, that's roughly 330 feet, so it's plenty for most of us. The Air King, it uses a 3131 caliber perpetual mechanical self-winding movement, and that movement is protected by a magnetic shield inside the watch that protects it from both bumps and shocks, and it really does push it solidly into the tool category of Rolex watches. You don't even see a magnetic protection shield on a watch like the Explorer. This watch has bi-directional self winding and a 48 hour power reserve. Let's take a look at the bracelet where we have the familiar oyster bracelet. We've got the flat three piece links, and here you can see the all brush polish, and if we take a look at the deployment, we've got the easy link comfort extension link on this watch that allows the wearer to increase the bracelet length by approximately five millimeters, which is great because if it gets hot out and your wrist starts to swell, you're going to want to add that extra link so you don't take your watch off, put it in your pocket, and whoops, there goes my expensive Rolex. Now let's take a look at this distinct black Air King dial. What we've got here is the only dial that Rolex makes with two colors on the front where we've got the crown in yellow at the 12:00 position, and right underneath that, you've got Rolex written in green, and we can see Air King printed sort of at the 6:00 position there, and that's actually in the same lettering style that was designed specifically for this model in the 1950s. We have a combination of large three, six, and nine numerals marking the hours, and then a prominent minute scale for navigational time readings, and this is all encapsulated under the scratch resistant sapphire crystal. So I'm going to throw this on the wrist, let you guys see for yourselves what it looks like. If you want to see some more details, check it out on jaztime.com.
