This is jaztime.com. Today we're going to be reviewing the Omega Seamaster Chronograph. It's a 311.30.44.51.01.002. We're gonna go through a couple things about this watch. Why you might wanna wear it. How it works, where you can buy it and some cool features about it. So first you'll notice here that it has the sapphire crystal, as I'm kinda tapping it take a listen to the sound. That's cause it has a sapphire crystal. You'll notice on the back side what differs from this 2012 release versus some of the older 1970's 1980's version is that it has this sapphire crystal on the backside too. Now take a listen to this. Ya hear that thud sound? That's cause this is a sapphire crystal meaning it does not scratch. It's got a nine out of 10 for hardness. 10 being diamond and sapphire being nine. Ya hear that? Now if you ever tap on a fake one it'll sound like this, ting ting ting. But this one sounds like a thud. It also has this black tachometer. This is used to calculate elapsed time with the chronograph. Which I'll show you just in a bit. And it also has this new style bracelet. This is called the Speedmaster bracelet. Which has brushed all the way through except these little lines right here which are high polish. And that's a really difficult finish to do but Omega does it expertly. You can see it on the other side. The older versions in fact used to have these pins where you connect the bracelet. And that was actually proven to be not very it just didn't prove to be very good because it would come apart and they'd have issues with it. So they changed it to this screw that you see where my finger's pointing at. So that holds it in a lot tighter. As long as you locked right it in it won't come out. Now this deployment here now what kind of deployment is this? Is it a single or a double? Well I'm only folding once so it's gotta be a single. And you see here this is a typical Seamaster clasp. Now I'm gonna clasp it in. That click makes it stop. And it has an easy deployment release. I just squeeze here. Bang, and it comes right off. Now let's take a look, how do you actually use this? Now in the screwed down position, the crown I can actually wind the watch. And the wind sounds like this. Ya hear that? I wind it so that I can wear the watch. Now if I wanna change the time I get my nail in here and I kinda just give it a push. I've already pushed it out. You can see that kind of right there. Now when I turn it, it's gonna start turning the hour. And this is what's called the semi-quick set as opposed to a full quick set which changes the date automatically. Now that I'm at 10, I'm at 11, now after I pull it here, the date will change. And bang, changes right at 12 o'clock cause it's an omega. And I go ahead and set the time by pushing it back in. You'll notice that since I haven't pushed it back in this left side here by the nine o'clock that's the seconds, and that's gonna continue moving because I haven't pulled it out all the way to set the time. For example if I pull it one more bang, I can change the minute hand. What do you notice about the hack? The hack is stopped. That's because I'm setting the time. When I set the time, let's say to 6:30 or 6:25. Now when I push this back in, from position two into position zero, the hack is gonna start moving again. And let's see if that works, one, two, bang, and you can see the second hand is moving. On the left hand side where my thumb is at. Now let's take a look at the chronograph here. I'm gonna press the top, it's gonna make the second hand up here go around one revolution. That's the start. So you can use this to time for example how long it took you to get to your groceries or how long your friend's takin to come here. And once this second hand goes around one full revolution, this minute hand over on the right hand side, it's gonna move over one movement. And once that goes around one full revolution, which is 60 minutes, the yeah, then it will just move over. Okay I'm gonna let that run. And we're gonna try on the watch in the mean time. Let's take a look at how this watch looks on the wrist. Now if you guys like this video, and you like the review or you wanna see videos like this review, click the subscribe button.
