The Datejust 41 comes with either a smooth domed stainless steel bezel or a white-gold fluted bezel. As you can see in the comparison image, the smooth bezel looks simplistic in its design while still maintaining great style. The white-gold fluted bezel on the other hand is much more obvious in allowing more of a luxurious look to shine as light reflects from many angles when sunlight illuminates against it. As durability comes to mind, the 904L Rolex steel is much more scratch resistant than the white gold bezel. On the other hand, you will not see scratches on the fluted bezel as on the smooth one anyway. The standard Datejust 41 model with blue dial has stick index hour markers. Although those look almost minimalistic, they are fashioned out of 18ct white gold to prevent tarnishing. If you want a more luxurious look to your blue dial Datejust you can choose a version with Diamond set dial markers for a higher price of course. Typically the cost of a diamond set Datejust will run an estimated $1500 to the cost of the luxury timepiece. However; this option is only available with the models that have the white-gold bezel. If you look at the smaller sub-dial markings, the blue stick-index dial has shows Arabic numerals for the minutes.The blue diamond set dial on the other hand does not show minutes on the sub-markings but the hours in roman numerals.
