Today, we will be talking about the Rolex Yacht-Master 37 with a diamond-paved dial, Everose gold and Oysterflex bracelet, reference number 268655. A very unique model within the line of Rolex's Yacht-Master 37s. As of the making of this video, there are four other watches within the Yacht-Master 37 line. One is just like this one, same strap, same Everose gold case, but with an intense black dial with bold red Yacht-Master lettering and Rolex logo in gold. Two other models or two-tone Everose gold bezels with Oystersteel cases, both with the intense black as well as a sunburst chocolate dial. And the last model is made of Rolesium, Rolex's own platinum and Oystersteel, with a slate dial and teal blue Yacht-Master lettering. This one- Well, we'll get to that in a moment. But for now, the case as the name suggests, is the Yacht-Master 37 is 37 millimeters in diameter from finger to thumb. This model is made entirely out of Everose Rolesor, Rolex's own compound of 18 carat pink gold and Oystersteel for strength and corrosion resistance, while maintaining a luxurious look and feel ensuring that that rose gold will maintain its hue for longer than any other rose gold on the market. The case back contains the typical screw-down case, helping to ensure water resistance down to a hundred meters or 330 feet. In addition to this, the right side contains the signature Rolex winding crown, which once screwed tightly to the case, continues to ensure superior water resistance. The crystal on the front is of a transparent, scratch-resistant sapphire. So there's no fear of suit threads or buttons damaging the crystal. There's a Cyclops lens directly over the date for easy reading at a glance. The bezel is actually bidirectional and rotatable with 60 minute polished graduations standing out against a matte-black, sandblasted background. The- And Rolex states an example that this is ideal for the wearer to calculate the sailing time between two buoys. But for the most of us, we can use it to calculate time, say between two points. Perhaps if you had two of these, you can finally easily solve that train problem, where one train starts 50 miles east of somewhere. Another starts 36 miles west of another place. Both traveling toward each other with different average speeds. And the answer to that problem, by the way, is that nobody actually cares. Just to refer to a table of the train times and you're good. Now, onto the dial for this model. Without calling it ridiculous, well, it's actually pretty ridiculous, but in a good way. The diamond-paved dial was actually set meticulously by hand where gem-setters carved metal settings to hand-shape the seats in which each diamond is perfectly placed. Each stone is placed based on alignment and each one aligned with a perfect height. They're also placed based on orientation, position, regularity, strength, and proportions to create an intricately finished dial. All right. The hour markers mirrored that of its slightly larger cousin, the Submariner, in which there is a triangle for the 12, rectangles for the six and nine, date window at the three, circles for the remaining hours. The hands are the ones as seen often in this class, the Mercedes hand for the hour and a thin, long minute hand, and a thinner yet second hand with a tiny dot, all with luminescence to show the time in just about any lighting situation. All right, and turning the lights out. All right, you can see that the hour hand shows that Mercedes logo very clearly with the long minute hand. All of the hour markers are as described with the second hand, actually having a tiny dot. All right. Now with the lights back on, if you've noticed the second hand isn't actually moving. It's not actually keeping time. That's because this watch is actually at a dead stop. The crown can help us with that. But first, let's talk about this. Because this crown has this Rolex logo and has these three little raised bumps under the logo indicating the triplock, triple waterproofness system. So it's actually very likely that it could go as far down as 300 meters or a thousand feet like that of the Submariner. All right, so zooming in closely there. You can actually see those little three dots underneath the crown. All right, now while I have personally not tested this, you are surely welcome to do so. And so winding the watch, setting time and date are actually rather simple. Simply unwind the crown and just move it back and forth several times to get this watch from a dead stop to moving. And look, the second hand is now keeping time. All right, pull it out to the second position, where you can then adjust the minute hand. Actually no, that's the final position. The second position, this allows you to change the date by rotating the crown counter-clockwise in very, very small increments. So if you're a time traveler, this is certainly the watch for you. If you're traveling forward in time at a ridiculous pace, you can set the date with zero issue. All right, and pulling the crown out to the final position, it stops the seconds hand. So you can then move the minute hand as I showed slightly earlier. All right, push the crown back into the case and wind it tightly for that superior water resistance. All right. So this bracelet, if you've noticed, is the Oysterflex strap, which is a high-performance elastomer coated over flexible metal blades for that durability and strength, while allowing this timepiece to fit nicely on any shaped wrist with the peace of mind that you'll not be pinched or have any hairs unceremoniously removed from your skin. Also if you note and look very closely, there are these little, little flaps underneath that allow for the wrist to breathe. And for, you know, it helps to locks away sweat as well. So that's a very nice touch to keep the, the strap in nice form as well as keep your wrist nice and aired. All right. All right. So the Oysterlock safety clasp on this model actually has an easy link extension. Well, it's actually not an easy link five-millimeter comfort extension, as we know it. But it does have those little divots for where you can actually move this little end link into size, just in case you really need to. But the elasticity of this band should actually fit your wrist quite nicely. All right. So, and on that note, the Oysterflex strap cannot actually be sized once it is chosen. And usually, people's wrists stay relatively consistent. So picking a size is, you know, usually what happens and you're good from there. The most important part of this timepiece from a technical standpoint would be the movement. Of course, you can't see it through the case back, but I'll tell you right here. It is the 2235 Caliber with a plus or minus two-second time differential per 24 hours, continuing to exceed Swiss standards of timekeeping. It's a perpetual mechanical and self-winding timepiece. So you only need to wind it once fully while wearing it to allow the time piece to continue winding throughout the day. The oscillator contains High-performance Paraflex shock absorbers and a Syloxi hairspring in silicon to prevent electromagnetic interference as well as resist temperature changes keeping the movement consistent in nearly any condition, summer, winter, volcano, you name it. The power reserve is 55 hours. So you can set it down on a Friday evening, pick it back up on a Monday morning, ready to conduct business and will be keeping time of, keeping track of time just fine. All right. Now if you've noticed, this Oysterflex strap is actually rather small, but I will try it on anyway. Okay. And it actually fits me perfectly. All right. As I said before, this watch is actually, absolutely ridiculous. There isn't a single angle from which I can not see the dial as the diamond-paved dial reflects light from any angle that the dial could possibly be facing. The Oysterflex strap feels very comfortable. It's very likely to keep its grip on my wrist, where I'd go wakeboarding with this on. The bidirectional self-winding portion of the movement really shines here. As you can really do, you know, full 360s, 540s, 720s, 1080s, 1260s, 1440s, 1620s, and 1800s in either direction to keep this watch properly wound without actually having to wind the crown like I did earlier. Sick, bro. So who is this for? It's for anyone who is out on the water via for sports, extreme sports, or any other sport that requires reliable waterproofness. The Oysterflex strap makes this an excellent choice for those water excursions. And the overall look gives it that luxurious look and feel that you've come to expect from Rolex and especially from a Yacht-Master. So the- Well, and also this Oysterflex strap makes an excellent choice for those water excursions. While the dial could actually probably help blind your opponent in a yacht race.
