Hey guys, this is Kevin from JazTime.com and today we'll be reviewing the Rolex Pearl Master 34. The reference number for this watch is 81299. We'll be going over the price, dial, bezel, case, crown, bracelet, clasp, and the movement towards the end of the video. So as of March 2017, you can get this at a Rolex retailer for $53,250.00 or you can get it at JazTime for as low as $43,400. So, let's go ahead and review the dial now. So the dial is a beautiful mother of pearl dial that has diamond hour markers inlaid. These diamond hour markers are fashioned in 18 carat white gold to prevent any tarnishing. It's a very simplistic dial. We also have, at the three o'clock position, the date window with a cyclops lens on top of that sapphire crystal for easier viewing and magnification of that date. The hands are also of 18 carat white gold. So let's go ahead and move on to the bezel now. The bezel, as you can see, has just been inlaid with diamonds, very beautiful, sparkles very nicely. For the case, we have a 34mm oyster case, that is made completely of white gold. Its structure is a monoblock middle case, screwed down case back and a winding crown. The 34mm is from my index finger here to my thumb, so that's a measure of the 34mm in diameter. The profile of the watch, not very high at all, will fit under dress cuffs, suit cuffs very nicely, very easily. Has a very nice high polish, travels very nicely along the sides with the high polish on the bracelet. On the other side of the case we have the high polish on the sides as well with the Rolex crown. The crown is a screw down to a lock double water proofness system and keeps the watch water resistant when fully screwed against the case. Keeps it water resistant for up to 100 meters, or 330 feet. So I'm just gonna show you how to use the crown real quick. Just very simply, counter clockwise, pops out the crown. This is the hand winding position, in which you can wind the watch 20 or 30 times, no more, as you might damage the watch. A simple tug will bring you to the date setting position in which you can change the date instantaneously, as you can see on the 3 o'clock position here. Very simple, very easy to use. And a final pull of the crown will be in the hand setting position, in which you can set the hands bidirectionally. One thing I want to mention is the second hand, or the hack movement does stop, meaning that you can set the precise time to an atomic clock or maybe your iPhone. So you can set it to the exact seconds, once you press the crown back in, the second hand will start moving once more. Like I said before, always make sure your crown is nice and snug against the case. And let's go ahead and move on to the bracelet now. So the bracelet's very special. It is what makes the Pearl Master the Pearl Master. This is called the Pearl Master bracelet. So this was introduced in, actually, in 1992 and it's made up with a five piece links. So five piece links with rounded end links. As you can see, that the top and the bottom links are rounded. The whole bracelet itself is of a high polish. There is no brush polished on this bracelet. So it's completely fully high polished. Even the inside of the bracelet, from the back, from the inner portion is high polished as well. As with all Pearl Master bracelets, it always has the concealed folding crown clasp as indicated by the Rolex crown here, in the central point of the bracelet. It pops out simply just by pulling out that crown. And this is the clasp plate and the clasp structure, as you can see there. It's very simple, very easy to use. So let's go ahead and move on to the movement. So the movement's housed in the oyster case back. It is a perpetual mechanical, self-winding movement, it's a in house made caliber 22-35 movement, with a precision of minus 2 plus 2 seconds a day. The functions has simple functions, although the center, hour, minute, and seconds hand with instantaneous changing of the day, as I've shown you before with the crown, and stopping of the seconds hand for the precise time setting. The power reserve of this Pearl Master is approximately 48 hours. So you can put this down on a Friday night, pick it back up on a Sunday night, and it'll still be keeping time very nicely. So I'm gonna go ahead and show you this watch on my wrist now. As I said before with the concealed folding clasp, located by the crown there, go ahead and pop that off. And this watch will fit an average or mid sized man's wrist and probably most ladies wrists. See there. There you go. Pops in. And there we are. So this is the watch on the wrist. Very beautiful, those diamonds glistening very nicely. So here's a profile on the side, on the side of the wrist.
