Description

Hey, welcome back to the Jaztime. Jaztime.com is an online store that buys, sells and trades authentic luxury watches. We make these videos so you can easily choose the best watch for yourself in the comfort of your own home. We offer the lowest prices anywhere online, if you'd like to know the price, simply click on the link in the description below. We greatly appreciate if you purchase your next watch from us at jaztime.com. Today we'll be going over a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41. Reference number 124300, with a coral red dial and of course, the oyster bracelet. Reference number again, 124300. All right, we'll be going over the case, the bezel, the dial, the crown functions as well as the movement and the bracelet and I'll be going over the wearing experience as well and give you my thoughts on all of these features throughout this video. Starting with the case, again, we have a 41 in Oyster Perpetual 41, meaning that it is 41 millimeters in diameter from finger to thumb. We also have the monoblock middle case with the screw down case back and the Rolex winding crown to ensure water resistance down to 300 or yes, a hundred meters or 330 feet, right? So we also have this nice, high polish along both sides here both sides of the case, as well as a brush finish on the front of the case. See if I'm zoomed in all the way you can actually see that it is a set and brush finishing from top all the way down to the bottom from lug to lug. We also have a high polish domed bezel it's circling the dial there. Nice and a reflective gives a very distinctive look on any Rolex with this specific dial. Also highly distinctive. This color only comes on the Oyster Perpetual line. Doesn't come on any Submariner or Daytona or any other model, really. You can only get this coral red on the Oyster Perpetual align either 36 or 41 at this point as of early 2021. This is a new release from a late 2020, by the way. As is standard for all Oyster Perpetual models. We have just the Rolex crown at the 12th with index our markers going all the way around. Nothing else included here just a double hash marks for the three six and nine positions, otherwise extremely legible, right? And speaking of eligibility it's incredibly easy to read in low light situations. It's extremely bright. It's actually clipping my highlights. Now that I'm looking at my camera monitoring here, right. It's that's, it's all due to the Chromalight display, giving it a very bright blue glow to all these index hour marks. All right. As you can see, and they actually maintains that blueness for it maintains the luminosity for such a long time. All right, there we go. Let's turn the lights back on. Okay. Now on to the functions of this watch. it's rather basic, simply just unwind the crown to the first position. This allows you to wind the watch. If you're at a dead stop about 20 to 30 full ones is all you need to reach the full power reserve, pull out to the next end, only other position. It stops that second hand, so you have that hacking function. So you can then set the minute hand precisely wherever it needs to go. So that you can then punch the crown back in, screw tightly against the case and ensure that secure water resistance, right. So, what makes all this work is the 3230 made in-house by Rolex, right. You can't see it through the case back, but you do have that solid case back for that added security. Would you like to focus camera? Yes. There we go. So, you have a solid case back so you can't see the movement through it, but that's fine. All right. We have a plus and minus two second per day time differential, which gives it that superlative chronometer certification as printed on the dial, guaranteed by every Rolex model. We have these center hour, minute and second hands, with the sub seconds for precise time setting. All of which I had just demonstrated. The oscillator also has a pair of binary blue pair chrome hairspring with high-performance pair of flux shock absorbers. That means you can get relatively close to magnets, as close as you normally would on a standard day. Most of us don't really interact with magnets all that much, at least nothing powerful enough to affect a time piece. Also, we have the shock absorbers. So you can just take a few bumps here and there they'll be keeping track of time just fine. No need to worry about the timekeeping ability. The internal winder is a bi-directional self windering by directional self winder with a perpetual rotor. So, simply all you need to do is just wind the watch using the crown and having this on your wrist will allow the natural wrist movements as you wear it to constantly wind the watch. All of this gives you approximately 70 hours of power reserve. So that's almost three whole days. You can set it down on a Friday evening, pick it back up on a Sunday morning, ready to conduct business. No need to worry, worry about winding the watch. Right, now taking a look at this bracelet here, we have the oyster style bracelet, three piece links with a set and brush finishing all the way down the front. Now this model specifically still has all the stickers on it. As you can see, we have the high polish on the sides all right, along the sides of the bracelet links. And I actually do quite like this satin brush finishing on all of these links because it gives it that sort of diffuse lighting look. It's less inviting to the eye, but then that makes it so that you can actually see the dial a little bit more. It gives more visual hierarchy to that dial. All right, now there's a slight taper down down to the oyster folding clasps. Now this one on the oyster perpetual models we have the stamped Rolex crown logo. It's not a protruding crown logo. So this is a good feature. I actually very much like this. I prefer it over any other Rolex crown clasp there because you have that added security of not actually scraping it off or doing damage to it, right. Simply lift the top. And there you go opens up to see the Rolex standard logo and you know, that you're dealing with steel, right. And also the added benefit of having the clasp here is that we have this easy link five millimeter extension. So if you drank an entire bowl of soup it's 90 degrees outside and you just chugged about two liters of water. Well, you're probably gonna need to loosen up the watch on your wrist. Now, if you have the size precisely to your wrist you're not gonna have much room. So simply just go underneath the clasp plus straight out, and there you go. Extra five millimeters, just in case your wrist happens to swell, very useful on those hot summer days. And if you don't need any more, just simply fold it back in on itself, press it back into the clasp. And there you go. Nice and tidy. While we're here, I can actually try it on and give you my thoughts as to how it wears on the wrist, right. Now, taking a look at it on the wrist here, we have a 41 millimeter dial. All right. So on my wrist, seven inches in circumference, 18 centimeters, it's rather large. I'm not getting a whole lot of bracelet here on either the 12 or six o'clock sides. And I'm getting lots of space underneath these lugs. So there's a lot of breathability here. Not that I really need it because it does tend to sort of protrude a little far out there, as you can see, but it's actually, it's not too bad. I can still wear this, but I'd rather have a 36 myself. But if you do have a larger wrist then certainly I will a hundred percent recommend the Oyster Perpetual 41. But, why would you want the Oyster Perpetual 41? Well, again, you have the options for all these different dial colors. Because you can't get this coral red on any other dial, really. Just the Oyster Perpetual line again. And also, it's a very good basic watch. Not that being basic is a bad thing because you can wear this every day. You can wear it anywhere and it won't, you know, attract too much attention. Whereas something like a solid gold Yacht-Master or a solid gold Daytona would certainly draw all the eyes to your wrist. Well, depends on what you're going for. If you're going for, you know, just something that you can wear while you're walking your dog. No problem. Oyster Perpetual has got you there. And it's, it's not overly complicated, either. Extremely simple on its face, extremely simple and its functionality and extremely simple and its presentation. That's all you really need for just everyday things. But if you're having a, you know, a very important meeting, well, maybe a gold Daytona will do you better. But that's up to you.
