Greatly appreciate if you'd purchase your next watch from us at Jaztime.com Today, we'll be taking a look at this lady datejust 28 from Rolex. The reference number 2 7 9 1 7 5. That means we do have a full ever rose gold construction here, fluted bezel on the front of this case, chocolate dial with index hour marks and a president bracelet. All right, again, the reference number 2 7 9 1 7 5. I'll be going over the case, the dial, the bezel, crown functions, the movement, as well as the bracelet. And I'll be giving you my thoughts on these throughout this video. So starting off with this case, it's in the name, datejust 28, from the finger to thumb 28 millimeters, that's the diameter of the case. From two o'clock to eight o'clock or also from the 10 to four o'clock position. Same diameter, same 28 millimeters. You have the monoblock middle case with the screw-down case back and the Rolex winding crown to ensure water resistance down to a hundred meters or 330 feet below sea level. In total, you have a full high polished finish on this ever rose gold, ever rose gold being Rolex's own proprietary blend of rose gold with steel. Their oyster steel to create a very, very strong resilient rose gold, or very, very warm toned gold while also maintaining the high fidelity, the absolute strength of their oyster steel, right? And in same fashion, you have the same high polished fluted bezel here on the front, on the front of this case. Originally made with the intent of screwing directly onto the front of this case to ensure the superior water resistance, but technology over time has rendered that well, not all that necessary anymore. So it's just kept as a mark of distinction. And it's always made in some sort of gold and in this case ever rose gold or their own version of rose gold to really match with the overall color scheme of this watch as you can see, all right. And speaking of color scheme, we can take a look at the dial, the chocolate dial, the probably closest matching color to the ever rose gold of the watch. Gives it a little bit of a darker shade to the watch, but still no worse for wear. Taking a look at it with the lights off, thanks to the index hour marks, you have the chromalight features of the hours, as well as the minute and seconds hands. So you can read those in any low light situation in any situation really. Just shine a light on it for a couple seconds, and you're good to go. And it's so incredibly bright actually, and it lasts for an incredibly long time. So no worries there. We can turn the lights back on here. All right, and taking a look at the details of this dial. You do have the 18 carat ever rose gold crown at the 12 o'clock position. And there's also a date aperture at three o'clock position. Small on the dial, big under the cyclops lens. Very easy there. As well, taking a look at the functions of this watch simply unwind the crown of three o'clock position to the first position. This allows you to wind the watch. So at the base position, if you are at a dead stop, about 20 to 30 full winds will wind the watch nice and easy, right? And once you start the, once you start to feel the resistance starting to ramp up and the resistance in the winding crown, you know that you've reached the full power reserve and you no need, no longer need to wind the crown. Pull the crown out to the next position. You can continue to rotate or actually rotate the crown counter-clockwise to advance the date forward by one, about an eighth of a turn. So a quarter turn will advance you twice, all right. So if you find yourself on the 30th of a month, simply rotate once to the 31st wait for the hour hand to pass by midnight, and you'll be on the first of the next month. Assuming you're on a regularly numbered month, like April or something like that, all right. Pull the crown out till the final position. And you'll note that the seconds hand does in fact, stop giving you the hacking function and thanks to the minute track on this dial, you can actually set the minute hand precisely wherever it needs to go, based on the position of that seconds hand. Nice and easy. Push the crown back in to start that seconds hand once more. And screw it back tightly into the case to ensure the superior water resistance, right? So what makes all of this work is on the inside the caliber 2236 made in house by Rolex. You can't see it through the case back, but you do have the added sense of security for the full solid case back, as well as your added value to this watch so you know you're getting your gold contents worth. It features a plus or minus two second per day time differential after casing. Meaning that you have that superlative chronometer certification as printed directly on that dial. You also have the center hour, minute, and second hands with the instantaneous date, with the rapid setting and stop seconds for precise time setting. All of which I had just demonstrated using the winding crown functions, just a second ago. All right, you also have the oscillator on the inside. It's a syloxi hairspring and silicon with high-performance pair of flex shock absorbers. So what that means is that you basically can get close to circuitry, anything potentially magnetized, and you can take a few bumps here and there and you can continue to, the movement will continue to work without any disruption to the timekeeping ability. So no worries there from the movement on the inside. Also, you have a bi-directional self winding perpetual rotor central mounted, so that basically all you need to do is just wind the watch once manually using the winding crown and simply wear the watch on your wrist. And the simple, the natural movements of your wrist will actually continue to wind the mainspring barrel of the watch, keeping the power reserve up. So the power reserve for this watch is approximately 55 hours. That means you can set it down late Friday night and you pick it back up early Monday morning, ready to conduct business, no need to wind the watch at all. Just wear it all of Monday and you'll be back, excuse me, to the full power reserve, no issue there. All right, now taking a look at the bracelet here while I'm zoomed out, you do have what is known as the president bracelet. It sort of encompasses the two oyster bracelet and the jubilee bracelet. It takes the best of both worlds there. So you have the strength of the oyster bracelet. Three piece links across with the high polish center links, the set and brush outer links, but you have the jubilee semicircular link. So it feels very nice on the outside, even better on the inside. Going down to the clasp, you also have the concealed folding crown clasp. And what that is, is that you basically have a seamless presentation of the clasp within the bracelet. In order to open it, just simply lift the top and unhooks, nice and easy. You have the Rolex stamped logo on the inside. And you're certainly dealing with rare metals here, in this case ever rose gold, right? You see these hallmarks on the inside of the clasp, same as the hallmarks underneath the lugs of this watch. I'm not going to be able to zoom in much closer than that because you know, there is a minimum focusing distance for camera lenses and stuff. But you're free to take a loop, should you so desire if you have one of these in your hands to see the details of all those hallmarks, hallmarks. While I'm here, I can actually try it on give you my thoughts as to how it wears on my wrist, seven inch wrist. All right, so keep in mind, it's a lady datejust 28, not really made for anyone who isn't a lady, honestly, but you know, there you go. You certainly have it right there. Chocolate dial index hour marks, very, very easy to read when face on. And also the fact that the, hour marks are also white in presentation, even though it's all ever rose gold here, sort of blending in with that chocolate dial the index, the chromalight sort of separates the hours out so it's very easy to read just at a glance. Easier, it looks easier in person than on camera, but that's just my monitoring. It may look better on your monitor as well. All right, so take a look at, down the wrist here. No space under the lugs, but that's fine because my wrist is actually pretty big for this watch. If your wrist is about five, six inches or even smaller than that, no problem you'll have additional breathing room under these lugs. Not that that's an issue because the president bracelet sort of has that feel of the jubilee bracelet. Plenty of breathability among these links and with Rolex's zero tolerance among their links makes it that, you'll, the links will never actually pinch your skin, they'll never pull out your hairs and they keep their space nice and clean through their lifetime. So it feels very, it feels incredible on the skin and for its size, with the gold content, incredibly light for what this is. And it just looks very distinctive. The overall sort of warm coloration of this watch sort of lends itself to very, very much standing out against a cool set of dress or even blending in just a little bit with a warm colors as well. So not, not exactly neutral, but certainly if you want to turn heads, this is one way to do it with that fluted bezel reflecting light just about in every direction it's unmistakable, it's definitely a Rolex and with the president bracelet feels good and it looks good as well.
