Today I'm going to be reviewing the Hublot Classic Fusion Titanium, green. Reference 511.NX.8970.LR with a custom diamond bezel. I'm going to talk to you about the case. The dial, the bezel, the bracelet, try it on and give you my thoughts. So let's dive right in. This watch as I said at the very beginning is made of titanium. That means the head of this watch right here, the whole thing is titanium. And they make this classic fusion titanium green in three different sizes. 45 mm, 42, 38, 33. This is a 45 and it's the largest version of this classic fusion that Hublot makes, 45 mm. Okay. Now I said at the beginning, this watch is titanium. Most sports watches or most watches these days are either made of stainless steel or much more rare is titanium. Now, what are some of the benefits of titanium? Well, as you can see here, as I'm turning the watch for you to view the case of it, the titanium itself is darker than stainless steel. That's one of the characteristics. The second characteristic of titanium is that it's lighter. It's also more expensive because it's harder to work with. And if you look at this polish what I'm trying to show you here, you look at the case, it's absolutely perfect. They've done a great job of symmetry and design on the case. Now, what do I mean by that? Well, if you look at it, it's a satin finish but it has polished titanium. What does that mean? Well, I see satin finish right here where my finger is pointing. That's a satin finish. It's like a brushed finished. And then you see this where it looks black, but it's actually the light reflecting is actually shiny to me it looks silvery, but to you it looks a little bit, with a lot of reflections. That's because the light is hitting it. And that is a polished titanium. Now polished titanium in my opinion is a really awesome color. It makes it actually almost look like white gold or like a rhodium finish on. It really looks pretty awesome to me. Okay. And as I said at the beginning, this is 45 mm. Now, what else I like about this case is that it's very thin. I didn't check it with my calibers, but it's- I would say it's approximately 11 mm, about the same size of a Datejust and it's one of the thinner watches that Hublot makes because it's one of their dress watches. Okay. Now I also really want to show you this is the lines of this watch, you know, it goes polished and then it drops, it slopes down. And you know what this sloping does, right here at sort of like a 45 degree angle is that it makes the watch actually appear a little bit bigger than it really is because it it allows the watch to sort of sit better on your wrist as opposed to if these things were flat. If I do you see what I'm saying? You see these, the straps are coming out at a 45 degree angle, as opposed to if they were completely like this, that's because of the case itself is sort of angled so that the bracelet, you know, it comes off at an angle that allows a watch to appear a little bit bigger than it really is. Even though this is a 45 mm. So yeah, that's one of the things. Okay. So let's move on to the bezel. Now, originally this watch had a satin finish with polished titanium with six, H shape titanium screws with no diamond bezel. Basically it did not have a diamond bezel before this. Now that's how it comes factory here at JazTime, we added this custom diamond bezel for our customer. And that customer could be you by simply clicking on the link in the description below. You can find a where to buy this watch JazTime.com. Now, of course, it's going to be a little bit more expensive than the factory price, but that's because we added this diamond bezel. And if you look closely, I'm trying to let you guys see this, It looks absolutely perfect. It actually looks to me factory, even though it's not. And so how is that achieved? Well, you take the bezel off and you replace it. You install these diamonds on it. And if you look the factory gasket, everything still fits. The factory gaskets, that black thing. Okay. And that goes all the way around. And if you look at the way that the watch is set up it's actually a bezel, okay. A gasket here, the case itself, the case back, and you screw it through that screw right there. So that screw goes all the way through the entire case. And this is the acceptor on the top. You see that. So you kind of sandwich those pieces together, screw it in, and that's how you close this case and keep it water tight. At any rate, I think a diamonds add a very good look to it and that's, there you go. Okay, let's move on. This one is this watches has a 50 meter water resistance. Although most of us aren't probably going to go to that. I want to show you guys the dial here. Now I've been trying to show you the dial and sort of different shades, and it's not the easiest but you can see there it is green. And not only is it green, now there's many shades of green but this is an Emerald green. It's a very beautiful green. And I actually reviewed the same watch except in blue. And they also did a fantastic job of making the dial color not like some nasty lime green or, you know, I don't know some funny looking green. It actually very dark green. In fact, it almost looks black if you look at it. And in this video it does but I'm trying to hold it up in different lights so that you can see. It's a very dark Emerald green. And I really like it. I think it looks natural. It looks like, you know kind of how like a dark tree would look. So that's just me, but I really think the, you know and I've seen a lot of watches. So I really liked the dial. And you know, the dial is actually, they call it a Satin Finish Green Sunray. Now what exactly does that mean? Well, it means if you kind of hold it in different lights, because the way that shines out, you see how right now it's lighter on the top and darker on the bottom? Well, I keep turning it. It kind of, it changes. And that's because they did a great job making this dial. It's a Sunray dial. Okay. Now one thing is that these hour markers and hands they're not luminescent so you can't see the watch. That's kind of a bummer, but they had to make a trade off. Either make the hands beautiful like this or make them luminescent and practical. So it kind of depends. But anyways, that's what you get. Okay. Now I want to bring your attention to the movement. Here's what I really think Hublot hit it on the head. This is an H U B 1 1 1 2 self winding movement with a power reserve of 48 hours. Now, a lot of watchmakers or watch companies don't allow you to see the back, namely Rolex, and I think that's really a bummer because why spend all this time and effort, et cetera to make an amazing movement, if you can't even see it. So Hublot I think really hit it on the head by allowing you to see the back. Now, admittedly it's not the most beautiful movement, but you know what? A lot of movements aren't that beautiful. Like some of the Rolex movements I've seen don't look that beautiful. And actually it doesn't look bad. It actually looks really good. Just not like Paddock, you know, AP level good. But then again, it's not Paddock AP level pricing, so it's pretty cool. I like this. The rotor has got Hublot on it so you know it's not just some, you know, regular movement that they slapped their name on. You know, it looks pretty cool. It's got this cool rotor, you know, the insides, it looks pretty cool for what it is. All right now let's move on to the bracelet, or the strap. The strap is a black rubber with green alligator leather strap. Now here's where I really think, again, Hublot shines. Why? The top of this is alligator, green alligator leather strap, in fact, which gives us a very, very classic look. It's black rubber. Now, why is that cool? Well, because leather starts to stink after a while. And if you wear it long enough, you know it starts to stink. Okay. So I really liked that. Okay. Anyhow, here are my thoughts. Now, the retail price on this at least as of 2020 is around $7,700. Plus the the diamond bezel is going a few thousand dollars more. You can buy it at JazTime I think, at least at the moment we're selling it around like $8,000-$9,000 something like that. And for this price point for a watch, Hublot, that really stands out and is unique. You know, if you want to watch that's unique, that's different, not your, you know run of the mill Datejust or, you know, you still want it to look expensive. And actually it is expensive and high quality. You know, this is a very, very good choice for that. And you know, a lot of younger people don't want to wear Rolex's because it reminds them of their dad's watch. You know, Hublot is a good watch in that sort of satisfies that dress look but still gives them something that's a little different. Those are my thoughts. And if you'd like to buy this watch please buy it from JazTime.com J A Z T I M E .com.
