Welcome guys. This is Ken from Jaztime. Today we are going to be reviewing the Rolex Daytona, two-tone, 116523. We're going to unbox it, show you a few cool things about it and show you how it works. Here we go. You guys are going to be the first to see this brand new Rolex being opened. Here you see a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona manual. Comes in a whole bunch of different languages. You can also download this on their website and it shows you, but I'm going to show you how to do it right now. It comes in this new style box, this 2015 to 2016 box that's vanilla. It's actually like a darker vanilla and here's the watch itself. It's a beautiful blue Arabic two-tone Daytona. And you're probably wondering what this thing is right here. This is the bezel protector, protects the bezel 'cause it's gold and it scratches. So, we're gonna go ahead and take that off. Voila! What we have next here are the two hang tags that it comes with. It has this darker green hang tag. It's slightly different from the old purple ones 'cause now it's a five-year warranty versus a two. It has this hang tag here. I'm not going to show you the serial number, but it does have the model number and the bracelet number on the right hand side along with a bar code, which I'm covering. Then, it's going to have the warranty card. A lot of people don't know where is the warranty card. They think, oh, it didn't come with it, but they don't realize that all they had to do is do this. Flip this down, out comes the warranty card. It comes in this little pouch. Warranty card is here. It usually has a serial, model and a brief description and on the back to shows who it came from and when it was purchased. Okay, there you guys go. There's the warranty card and it also comes with a manual or a guarantee book, okay? So, let's go ahead and put that back in and talk about the watch itself. This is really a very, very good looking watch. It's the two-tone Daytona. The retail is $15,000 something, edit this part. How much is the retail? No, it's not $12,000, two-tone Daytona. So this watch has Arabic, which is Arabic numbers, which is a bit different from a lot of Daytonas that only have index and these Arabic numbers, they glow in the dark and so do these hands over here and on the bezel you see this tachymeter, and since this is a brand new watch, you'll see here that there are stickers on the case, both on the left and the right side. That signifies that it's new. You'll see that also on the clasp here. Now we're gonna go ahead and open it up, take a look at what the clasp looks like. The clasp has been updated in 2011 to have this flat clasp. It's called the flat clasp as opposed to the F-style clasp. And you'll notice that case back, of course, it's solid. Rolex doesn't make anything except solid case backs, so if you see anything with exhibition, it's fake or modified. It does have a sticker. They used to have a green sticker, now they have a clear sticker. And as I can see it, the clasp itself is very, very fluid. Hard to see from the video, but it really is. Now how to wind and operate this watch, I am going to unwind the crown in a counter clockwise lefty Lucy fashion. It unwinds. There's a gasket in there. When I pull it out, do you guys see this second hand in the center? It's moving. Well, that's how the normal secondhand moves. When I pull out this crown, it's gonna stop it because it's a hack movement and here we go. You guys heard that and now the secondhand is no longer moving. I can now adjust the date as you see here and it's super super smooth, okay. And since it has no date, there's only two positions, in the wind mode, which is position one or the hack mode, which is position two. When I push it into position one, I can also wind the watch if it hasn't been used. You guys hear that. That's the sound of this watch being wound and that charges it. Winding charges the watch so that it can be used and now I'm going to use the tachymeter function or the chronograph. I'll unscrew the top one and I'm going to start it and that makes the secondhand move as you see here and once that goes around a full circle, this minute hand over here on the right hand side will move over one place. When this minute hand moves over a full revolution, the left hand hour side moves over one click. So, it can track up to 12 hours with one use. Now, what I'm going to do is stop the hack. To stop the hack you press the top, to restart it, you press this bottom over here. Stop stops the hack, or the secondhand, excuse me, and the bottom restarts it to the top. Now you see how I unscrewed it here? You guys can see that? Now obviously if I go jump in the water, this wouldn't be a good idea because water would enter where this screw is undone, so before you jump in the water, please make sure you screw down the crown. That's why it's a screw and not a push. If they wanted to keep it water-resistant, they probably would have done a push, but they did a screw, which means if you unscrew it, you need to screw it back. So I'm going to try it on my wrist now, let you guys see what it looks like and there it is. It's a Rolex Daytona, 16523, blue Arabic, two-tone Daytona and it retails for $17,900.
