Equipped with a tachymetric scale, the watch allows speed to be calculated, serving the needs of motor racing enthusiasts. However, long waiting lists and celebrity endorsements from the likes of Paul Newman, Leonardo DiCaprio and Madonna have also turned it into a highly sought after collector&#8217;s item and status symbol.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Any new introductions into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/rolex\/daytona\" target=\"_blank\">the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona<\/a> line make headlines and attract a lot of interest. This year, at Baselworld 2017, Rolex introduced three new variations into the collection. Here, we take a more in-depth look at the new models and their features.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"2017-daytonas-stunning-visual-appearance\" class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>2017 Daytona&#8217;s Stunning Visual Appearance\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1896 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Rolex-Cosmograph-Daytona-Baselworld-2017-Ceramic-Oysterflex-Rolesor.jpg\" alt=\"Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Baselworld 2017 Ceramic Oysterflex\" width=\"720\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Rolex-Cosmograph-Daytona-Baselworld-2017-Ceramic-Oysterflex-Rolesor.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Rolex-Cosmograph-Daytona-Baselworld-2017-Ceramic-Oysterflex-Rolesor-300x146.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The three new models are separated by their primary case material, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/rolex\/daytona\/?casematerial=402\" target=\"_blank\">18k Everose Gold<\/a> (Ref. 116515LN), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/rolex\/daytona\/?casematerial=11\" target=\"_blank\">Yellow Gold<\/a> (Ref. 116518LN) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/rolex\/daytona\/?casematerial=10\" target=\"_blank\">White Gold<\/a> (Ref. 116519LN) options available. All three models have a 40mm case and classic Daytona features, including the small seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour sub-dials.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">All versions are fitted with a Rolex patented <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/rolex-cosmograph-daytona-116515ln-black-index-pink-tachymetre-rose-gold-black-leather-7215\" target=\"_blank\">Cerachrom bezel, in black ceramic<\/a>, which evokes memories of the famous Daytona models from the mid 1960s. In addition, the hour and minute hands, as well as the dial markers, are luminous, ensuring the watch remains legible even at night.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Each model also has a dial color which compliments the case material. The yellow gold version has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/rolex\/daytona\/?dialcolor=174\" target=\"_blank\">champagne colored dial<\/a>, the Everose gold version has a pink dial and the white gold version comes with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/rolex-cosmograph-daytona-116509-116509-slv-silver-arabic-18k-white-gold-oyster\" target=\"_blank\">steel colored dial<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"new-improved-movement-and-oysterflex-bracelet\" class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>New Improved Movement and\u00a0Oysterflex Bracelet<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1893 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Rolex-Cosmograph-Daytona-Oysterflex-Baselworld-2017.jpg\" alt=\"Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Oysterflex Baselworld 2017\" width=\"720\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Rolex-Cosmograph-Daytona-Oysterflex-Baselworld-2017.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Rolex-Cosmograph-Daytona-Oysterflex-Baselworld-2017-300x146.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As with all modern Daytonas, the new 2017 models are powered by an in-house movement &#8211; the self-winding <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HtMZ7rlzsIg\" target=\"_blank\">chronograph Calibre 4130<\/a>. The movement is Superlative Chronometer certified, guaranteeing its precision to -2\/+2 seconds per day, while the three versions all have an impressive 72 hour power reserve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Oyster case, meanwhile, guarantees water resistance to a depth of 100 meters, or 330 feet, below the surface. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">However, perhaps the most significant change is that the three new models are all fitted with Rolex&#8217;s own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaztime.com\/rolex-yacht-master-40-rose-gold-everose-18k-black-ceramic-brand-new\" target=\"_blank\">Oysterflex bracelet technology<\/a>, complete with an Easylink rapid extension system, which allows the wearer to easily and quickly adjust the length for the perfect fit and guaranteed comfort.
