Hey guys, this is Kevin from JazTime.com and today we'll be reviewing the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. The reference number for this watch is 15400ST.OO.1220ST.02. We'll be talking about the price, dial, bezel, case, crown, bracelet, class, and moving towards the end of the video. So as of April 2017 you can get this Audemars Piguet at a Audemars Piguet retailer for $17,800. Or you can go to JazTime.com and get this watch for as low as $13,900. So let's go ahead and talk about the dial now. This dial, the specific dial I have in my hand here is a silver dial. It also comes in a blue and a black. And it has that same grand tapestry pattern, which is the smaller square patterned around the back. Whereas the hands and the index markers are reference to, rather they're called, the Royal Oak hands. Which are these very thin slivers of luminescent coating in the center fashioned into 18 karat white gold. So these little thin white slivers will glow in the dark for up to eight hours. Moving on, let's go ahead and talk about the bezel now. The bezel, very simple bezel with a brush finish on the frontal portion of the bezel with a nice high polish on the edges of it. The case, now, moving onto the case, the case is a 41 millimeter case, so that's from my index finger to my thumb here. That's 41 millimeters in diameter. The thickness of the case, or rather it's profile, is a 9.8 millimeter thickness, so not too large of a profile. It will fit under suit coats, dress coats very nicely. Has a nice brush finish on the sides, as well. On the other side of the case we have that same brushed steel along the side. Brushed steel along the side with the AP crown with that AP logo on that crown itself. The crown has very simple, very simple functions as we move on. You can go ahead and unscrew the crown counter clockwise. It's a very simple screw down crown in which this position here, this position here is a hand winding position which you can wind the watch. A simple tug of the crown, oops. A simple tug of the crown will let you change the date instantaneously, as you see is shown here. Very quickly, very easily. And a final tug, I want to mention here, will stop the second hand or the hack moving. So you can see that's moving and bam, stops there. And this is a key feature in some cases, as you can set the watch time to an atomic clock, such as a clock online. You can set it down to the exact seconds. Also, in this final position you can adjust the hands bidirectionally. Okay, so always make sure to screw the crown nice and tight back against the case, as you want to keep your watch water resistant and specifically for this AP watch, this water resistance, it has a water resistance of 50 meters, 164 feet. Moving onto the bracelet now. The bracelet is just a very simple, very simple stainless steel bracelet with AP's folding class. So I'll show you here. Unfortunately I can't take off this green taping, as this is brand new watch and I don't want to remove that taping for it. One thing I want to mention is tat the bracelet has a nice tape ring from he first few links, as shown here. You can kind of see that nice tape ring. And that really helps is fit along the wrist quite nicely. Makes it feel much more comfortable. As I mentioned, the class is AP's folding class, but it's pretty much very similar to the butterfly deployment class which that, you see these two buttons here? There's one here and one underneath. And once those are pressed, the bracelet will pop out on both sides so it'll move open this way, and this way will open this side. So let's go ahead and talk about the movement now. So the movement is housed in this exhibition case back. As you can see there's a gold rotor, looks very beautiful. The movement itself is a caliber in house made caliber 31-20 self winding movement made up of 280 parts and about 40 jewels. The power reserve of the movement is a 60 hour power reserve so you can put this down on a Friday evening, pick it back up on a Monday morning or so and it'll still be keeping time very nicely. It has very top tier movement and it just has a very simple functions of just tracking the hour. Obviously the hour, seconds, changing of that date, and the stopping of the seconds hand, as I've shown you earlier. Besides that, unfortunately I can't show you guys this watch, I can't really show you guys this watch on a wrist 'cause I can't really open the deployment clasp.
